Hey guys, welcome to another episode of Prime Time Crime. It's Kylie. We have a lot to talk about for Right Now and True Crime. This last week was insanity, so let's get right to it. First things first, Lorie Valo had a conference hearing earlier this week. She walked into the court with her hair curled at least in the front because she uses the prison bars to curl her hair, shut her lipstick on. She was bright and cheery and smiling, not like she's on trial for murder or anything or has been convicted of murder already. So that happened, and her trial is going to be happening, hopefully sooner rather than later. But we'll keep you guys updated on that. Chad's trial is still expected to start on April first, so we are getting closer and closer. Next thing I want to talk about is the Petito family and the Laundry family. Brian Laundry's parents have come to a settlement. They have reached an agreement. There was set to be a civil trial, but they did reach an agreement. The Potitos were suing the Laundries for knowing that got Vi was gone and not aiding in the search and helping Brian kind of cover up, hide whatever. So they did come to a settlement and there is going to be no trial in regards to that. So I'm glad that that happened, more just for the Potito family to finally be able to maybe have a little bit of closure and not have to be in this constant battle with the Laundries. Because the laundries are not good people. We have established that it's not alleged, it's just the truth. Moving on to more horrible people. Jody Hildebrandt and Ruby Frankie have each been sentenced to four to thirty years in prison on charges of child abuse. Now, Ruby was a popular YouTube gal back in the day and had a YouTube channel called eight Passengers, which no longer exists, where she would highlight her children and the different disciplinary actions and ways that she would kind of parent her children. She was married at the time, and somewhere along the line she formed a friendship with this Jody Hildebrant, and she had some real radical, irrational thoughts and beliefs and kind of took Ruby under her wing, and the children ended up getting involved, and there was some really, really horrendous child abuse that occurred to some of Ruby's children. So that is what they are in prison for. And now they are in prison for four to thirty years. I personally think it should be closer to the thirty but if history repeats itself, it'll probably be closer to the four which we're not going to be able to do anything about it other than hope that they don't get out of prison in four years and that they are able to serve the maximum sentence, which is thirty years. Jody said in a statement, I sincerely love these children. I desire for them to hear physically and emotionally. One of the reasons I did not go to trial is that I did not want them to emotionally relive the experience, which has been detrimental for them. My hope in prayer is that they will heal and move forward to have beautiful lives. So she pled guilty, so there wasn't a trial, they didn't have to go in and testify and all that stuff. But regardless, her statement and her actions don't match up. And the only reason that she is apologizing is because she got caught. She is not sincerely sorry. She doesn't give a crap about those kids, and she is a horrible human. And I hope that she is locked up forever. I really do. It won't be forever, but I hope it is Okay. Enough about them, we need to switch gears and talk about the disappearance of Audrey Cunningham out of Livensting, Texas. I talked about it on Monday's episode, and they unfortunately sadly found Audrey's body earlier this week and they had a press conference and they said that they believed that they had enough evidence. They're in the process of finishing gathering evidence to arrest and charge Don Stephen McDougall, who is the family friend who never should have had access to Audrey with Audrey's murder. So they did release the official affidavit. He has been arrested. I am going to read some of the key points from the affidavit. On the morning of February fifteenth, twenty twenty four, Polk County Sheriff's Office detective's investigation has revealed that the said defendant, Don Stephen McDougall, along with the child victim, left the home of the child victim located at redacted in the Lake Livingston Village subdivision in Livingston, Polk County, Texas. McDougall and the child victim left in McDougall's two thousand and three Chevrolet Suburban with intent to drop the child victim off of the school bus stop. It was discovered that the child victim was not at the bus stop when a Livingston id bus arrived at that location. At a discovered that the child did not make it to Creekside Elementary that day. On February twentieth, twenty twenty four, the body of an eleven year old child victim, Audrey Danielle Cunningham, was located During the search of the Trinity River. Law enforcement dives teams located the child victim's body within the Trinity River near Highway fifty nine south at the Polk San Jacento County line. San Jacento County Justice of the Peace c McGee ordered the child victim's body to be transported to the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office for autopsy to determine the cause of death. Don Stephen McDougall was a friend of the Cunningham family and resided on the family property in a cab over camper. He had access to the interior of the child victim's home. Video footage and cell phone data places McDougall at three locations of interest. Evidence in connection with the defendant and the child victim was located at two of those locations and recovered. One of these locations is the Trinity River, where Audrey's body was later located. Investigators were able to determine through cell phone data, video footage, and other forensic evidence. McDougall lied about his whereabouts and activities on the day of February fifteenth of twenty twenty four. Upon the recovery of the child victim's body, law enforcement discovered a large rock tied to the child victim's body. The rope was used. The rope that was used was consistent with rope that was deserved in McDougall's vehicle on a traffic stop two days prior, and last, but not least, through the investigation, there is sufficient evidence to show that on the date of February fifteenth, twenty twenty four, said defendant Don Steph mc McDougall, committed the offense of capital murder. Lock him up, throw away the key. He has been arrested, he has been charged, and he will probably never see the light of day again. Anyone that harms a child, especially in this capacity when it was a family friend, somebody that was trusted by the family. Now, let's play Devil's out kit for a minute. This guy was not a good person. He had a rap sheet a mile and a half long. Some of those charges were enticing children. He was not a good person. Regardless of that he was a friend of the family and for whatever reason, they trusted him. This family, in my opinion, allegedly is not tip top. They're not the best. They all failed Audrey. Every single adult in her life that surrounded her and let this human have access to her failed her. She didn't have a relationship with her biological mom, and I've heard back and forth, like her mom ended up losing custody, and then she ended up getting visitation, but the dad didn't let her have visitation. That's a whole hot mess, and that's a whole other conversation. But the dad worked offshore, and there was like a grandmother involved, and then Don Stephen McDougall, who had access to her. Every adult in Audrey's life severely failed her to let this horrible monster of a man come into her life and then take her life. Because he is a predator and this isn't his first time doing something bad. He has had multiple different, like I said, charges against him. He's been arrested multiple times. He is actual trash, an actual trash human. People are coming out of the woodwork saying that they've had interactions with him and experience with him, and like I said, This isn't his first time, but it's sure as hell is going to be his last because he's going to be locked up, hopefully for the rest of his life. So that is a really sad and unfortunate ending to the story. But I knew immediately when I heard Audrey was missing that he did something to her, and he was a million percent going to get caught because he's an idiot. We all know people like this are not smart. They think they're smart, but they're not, and that's exactly what happened in this case. It did not take them long at all to find Audrey's body. Texas Echo Research was out there. They had all of the surrounding areas out there looking for Audrey's body, and unfortunately they did recover her. So Don Stephen McDougall is trash and I cannot wait until he is found guilty on all of the charges that they bring against him. And it's really sound unfortunate that Audrey, who was the innocent person in all of this, lost her life because he's a perf Okay, last thing I want to talk about while we're on the topic of talking about horrible humans. This obviously was the episode where I just talked about bad people the whole time. Because I talked about Valo, I talked about the laundrys, I talked about who did I talk about next? I talked about Ruby fr and Jody Hildebrant. I talked about Don Stephen McDougall. And now I'm going to talk about last, but not least, Adam Montgomery, who today was found guilty on all charges of the murder of his daughter Harmony. Her body still has not been found, and there are horrific, horrific things that happened that he did to his daughter, Harmony, and thank god, the jury got it right. There is no such thing as a sure thing when it comes to trial and jury and all of that, but I think Adam Montgomery's trial was one that was for sure that they were going to get it right because the mountain of evidence against Adam is so real, and there's so many witnesses, and just Adam's behavior in general, and him not wanting to be there at the trial like that speaks volumes. So Adam was found guilty and now we wait on his sentence. I don't think they've come out with the sentence yet, but he was found guilty He's going to be in jail for the rest of his life, and I would have it no other way. So I'm sorry that that was a long Right Now, in true crime, a lot of information on Cramdon to one area and a lot of child neglect and harm, and I don't like any of it. But we need to talk about these cases and educate ourselves and know that this stuff is happening around us every day and if you see something, say something. And we are going to go ahead and get started with today's episode. All right, jumping in today to a new case. We are going to be talking about the disappearance of a twenty three year old woman named Amy Lynn Bradley. This one is really confusing. There is a lot to it, I feel like, and it's one of those ones where you know that the person didn't just vanish into thin air and foul play had to have been involved. So we are going to go ahead and dive right into Amy's story. So, Amy Lynn Bradley was born on May twelfth of nineteen seventy four in Petersburg, Virginia, to her parents, Ron and her mother Iva. She lived in Chesterfield County, Virginia, attended a local college and had just graduated with a degree in physical education. She had attended college with a scholarship in basketball and was very well known for her strong swimming abilities, and she had previously worked as a lifeguard, which I feel like is an important part of the story. Upon returning home from a family vacation that the Bradley family had planned, Amy was planning to start a new job at a computer consulting firm, and they all decided because Amy had just graduated college, the family, which was Amy, her brother Brad, and her mom and dad, decided to go on a family vacation. They decided to go on a cruise and this cruise was through Royal Caribbean and on the boat Rhapsody of the Seas, and they were headed for Curosau. Now this is the part of the podcast where I am going to talk about my major fear of cruise ships and cruises in general and water and how I feel like nothing good ever happens in the middle of the ocean, and you would never ever ever get me on a cruise ship. Ever. I am probably more terrified of that than I am of like spiders and heights and stuff like that. And I just feel like there's so many weird things that happen on those ships that people really don't talk about. But today we're going to talk about it. We're going to talk about what happened to Amy Bradley once she got on that ship. But had to do a little sidebar with my intense, intense fear of open water, big boats and vacations in the middle of the ocean where you can't like escape, it actually scares me. So Amy was twenty three years old at the time of for disappearance. The family boarded the ship on March twenty first of nineteen ninety eight, so the night in question is Monday, March twenty third of nineteen ninety eight. Amy and her brother decided to go to the ship's nightclub to go dancing. The ship was having a Marti Gras party on the ship, and Amy and her brother Brad had gone there to dance and drink a little bit. And there was also the ship's band, to Amy and her brother and family had become kind of familiar with. They were a band called Blue Orchard. There was a guy in the band named Alistair Douglas. He went by the nickname Yellow. He was there that night drinking and partying with Amy, and his take on things is that he left the party around one am, and there was also a videographer on board and he was able to capture the moment where Amy and this guy Yellow aka Alice or Douglas were dancing, so there is videographic proof that they were together dancing around this time. So a couple hours later, Brad decided that he was ready to turn in and went back to the family cabin at around three thirty five AM. So the ship has a computerized door lock system and it recorded that Brad had returned to the cabin at three thirty five am. Amy followed about five minutes later, and Brad said that he and his sister sat on the sweet's balcony and they just chatted before Brad eventually fell asleep, and then Amy would fall asleep shortly thereafter. So nothing weird, nothing out of the ordinary. They were out, they were at the club dancing, partying, came back, fell asleep on the balcony and that was that. So between the time of five point fifteen and five thirty Amy's father, Ron had woken up and had went to kind of check on the kids, like he knew that they were out on the balcony, so went to check on them and saw that Amy was out there and she was still sleeping on a lounge chair, and he said that he could see Amy's legs from her hips down and he ended up dozing off back to sleep. He said that the balcony door was closed, and if it hadn't have been closed, he would have gotten up and closed it. So flashed forward to six am. He got up and Amy was missing, along with her cigarettes and her lighter. Now, Amy was a smoker, and typically for anyone that is a smoker, they always have their cigarettes and their lighter with them pretty much all the time. So Ron immediately thought that something was off because it would be very unlike Amy to go somewhere and not tell them where she was going, even though everybody was on the same ship. She wouldn't have just wandered off and not told the family where she was going. So Ron went ahead and searched some of the common areas on the ship and could not find her. So he then decided that he was going to wake up the rest of the family and tell them that Amy was missing, And this happened around six point thirty in the morning, so it was literally like Amy had vanished into thin air. Amy's family immediately goes and reports that Amy is missing to the onboard crew, and they didn't want the ship to dock and people to get off because they didn't want They basically wanted to be able to search everywhere and make sure that Amy wasn't on the ship, and they were scared that once the ship docked that everybody would disperse and it would just turn into a rat race. So they asked the crew if they would please keep the passengers from disembarking, and they wanted a wide announcement made to the ship. This is what's going on. We're looking for this girl, Please help us find her. But the team said that it was too early to make an announcement like that because it was six thirty in the morning, so they did not announce officially that they were looking for this Amy Bradley until seven to fifty in the morning, and they made an announcement and asked if Amy Bradley could please come to the front desk. So between twelve fifteen and one pm, the different crewise staff searched the ship, but there was no sign of Amy and the family definitely thinks that because they delayed the search and the investigation and they did allow the passengers to disembark, that this really led to them having more difficulty in finding Amy. So the Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard did conduct a four day search. This search ended on March twenty seventh of nineteen ninety eight, and there was a chartered bow that continue to look for Amy. There was coastguard that were involved with helicopters and radar plane, but there was no sign of Amy. So of course the authorities are trying to figure out what could have happened to Amy. Did she fall overboard, did she jump? Did she go off on her own? Was their foul play involved? And initially they did think that she had fallen overboard or potentially had committed suicide, but there was never any body found, and Amy was a very strong swimmer, so this was kind of discounted and there wasn't really any evidence of foul play either. There was nothing left behind, nothing was out of the ordinary, so they didn't really have anything to go off of. Now, there was two passengers that had said that they had saw a woman who had matched Amy's description. This woman was taking an elevator to the ship's deck with cigarette and a lighter, but that didn't lead to anyone figuring out where this person could have gone. This person probably was more likely than not Amy, but they didn't have any more to go off of other than that. There was a cab driver who came forward and he said that a woman matching Amy's description had approached him and said that she urgently needed a phone to make a phone call. The sighting was never confirmed by authority, so there's no way to know if this was in fact Amy or if it wasn't. Amy's family definitely felt like something was off and kind of said that there was a few crew members that kind of gave them the ick, and they kind of just had a weird vibe about Amy. Was obviously young, she was a pretty gal, and she was very comfortable with who she was, and a lot of the crew members and people on the ship gave Amy a lot of attention. We had that band member who was partying with her the night she disappeared, and there was another crew member who had allegedly wanted to take Amy out to a restaurant when the ship docked in Aruba and whoever this person was, the offer to take Amy out gave her the creeps. And then there was also that photographer that had photographed Amy that night as well. Like things were just kind of it was just kind of a little creepy, like maybe Amy was targeted because she was a pretty young woman. She was young. You just don't know if anyone on this boat had bad intentions towards Amy. There's no way of knowing. So back to any reported sightings of Amy. In August of nineteen ninety eight, a Canadian engineer named David Carmichael said that he spotted a woman on Carasau Beach who had some of the same very distinctive tattoos as Amy had. Amy had a gecko and a Tasmanian devil spinning a basketball tattooed on her, and David said that he was one hundred percent sure that the woman that he saw was Amy. So he claims that he saw this woman and she was being escorted by two men, and David said she seemed like she was going to try to say something. She looked very frightened, but one of the guys motioned to her and gave David a menacing look and that was that, So a pretty probable sighting of Amy. I think the fact that he said he's one hundred percent sure that was her. The tattoos matched up, and it seemed like this group of people, these two guys, at least two guys, had kind of had Amy in their control. In nineteen ninety nine, a sailor with the US Navy claimed that he encountered a woman at a brothel who gave him the name Amy Bradley and said that she was being held against her will and not allowed to leave. And he said that he of course did not come forward right away because he feared that he would face disciplinary action for going to a brothel as a sailor, so he did not come forward. So there's been a few occurrences. Now we have the guy on the beach, we have this Navy guy who says that they encountered somebody that looked very very similar to Amy, gave the name Amy, and was essentially being held against their will, allegedly. And in two thousand and five, there was a shopper who reported seeing Amy in a department store in a bathroom in Barbados, and this shopper said that three men followed this woman into the bathroom before threatening her and letting her go into the bathroom, and just before these men returned, they dragged her out, and the witness claims that the woman told her her name was Amy and that she was from Virginia. So there, in my opinion, that's too coincidental for us not to think that Amy was taken into some type of sexual trafficking kind of situation. That's kind of how it seems to me. And then later in two thousand and five, the Bradley family was emailed photos of a woman who was named Jazz Jas And this photo had been posted on a website that no longer exists, but it was advertising all inclusive erotic vacations in the Caribbean and it's a woman in lingerie. And they thought that this person could be Amy. So it was emailed to the Bradleys, and the family thought that it looked very very much like Amy. And they said, in regards to the picture, when I first looked at the picture, it wasn't the Amy. I know, this picture looks like a harsh and tormented Amy, and it really does look like Amy. I'm gonna post the picture and you can kind of see for yourself, but it definitely to me looks like Amy. In a fall of nineteen ninety nine, Amy's parents received an email from a Navy Seale soldier named Frank Jones. Now Frank told the family that he was a former US Army special officer and he had a team of experienced soldiers who might be able to rescue Amy. He claimed that his team had seen Amy being held by heavily armed Columbian personnel in a housing complex surrounded by barbed wire, and the team also gave an accurate description of Amy's tattoos and sang the lulla by that Amy's mother used to sing for Amy. So however this group of people came across Amy, I don't really know. But he continued to feed the family more reports and different sightings of their daughter, and he said, We're going to attempt to to this rescue, but I'm going to need the funds. You know where this is going. So of course, the Bradley family they want to find their daughter, they want their daughter back, and they sent him a total of two hundred and ten thousand dollars to fund the search for Amy. But that never happened because Frank Jones is an a hole and made up the whole story just to scam the money out of the Bradleys. In February of two thousand and two, they charged him with defrauding the Bradleys of twenty four four hundred and forty four dollars and also charged him with defrauding the National Missing Children's Organization of one eighty six four sixteen. He plugged guilty in April of mail fraud and was sentenced to five years in prison. Why do people pray on those who are the most vulnerable. It'll never make sense to me. So in twenty ten, there was a jaw bone that was found in a room and they thought that it might belong to that of Natalie Holloway. They tested it to see if it matched Holloway, and it of course did not, and from there they didn't do any further testing on it. But there were nine other Caribbean vacationers that had been missing, and they didn't do DNA testing on this job bone to figure out if it was anyone else besides Natalie Holloway. They did say that the bone was human and likely from a Caucasian person. So that's really interesting to me that they just didn't think that they needed to do any further testing on this to see who it potentially could have belonged to. Of course, one of the main theories is that Amy was kidnapped from the ship and sold into the illegal human traffic and industry in the Caribbean, and there's many people and witnesses that support this. There was that US Navy officer claiming that here to work all at a brothel, claiming to be Amy, and then there was that photo that was mailed out in two thousand and five, and Amy's mom said that the people on that ship gave her the creep. She said, I remember watching people watch her admiringly. Amy would have been a trophy, basically saying that, like everyone, a lot of the workers on the ship were just obsessed with Amy, and God knows that they had bad intentions for her. And there's also you know, some of the staff members and the band members. This guy Yellow, apparently his story was inconsistent as to what was on the CCTV. And there was also many people that suspected that there was a waiter that was involved with Amy's disappearance. Amy's family said that that night that she vanished her family was approached by the same waiter asking to pass a note on too Amy for him. This is the one that had basically asked Amy to go out with him to dinner and drinks once they docked in Aruba, and it was just one of those things where they just kind of got a creepy bybe from him. From the start, Amy got a creepy bye from him, so there's no telling if he had bad intentions or not. So at the end of the cruise, the professional photographer that had photographed Amy previously had laid out all of the photos that were taken while they were on board the ship, and they had no photos of Amy whatsoever. The photos do exist, but this person, this photographer, had taken these photos and did god knows what with them, but those were not set out. So really really interesting to see kind of how the different people on the ship knew each other, did they interact with each other? Were they all involved in this underground sex trafficking thing. This is reason number one that I will knock go on a cruise ship because I feel like there's some shady things going on in general on these ships because you hear about it a lot, but people don't really seem to focus on it, and they just make it seem like it's accidental all the time. But there's definitely some underground sex trafficking stuff happening on these cruise ships, in my opinion. Allegedly, they have declared Amy Bradley legally dead as of March twenty fourth of twenty ten, which was twelve years after her disappearance. There is no there was never a body found, there's no witnesses that say that she is deceased, but they have declared her legally dead. So the FBI is currently offering a reward of up to twenty five thousand dollars for any information that could lead to the recovery of Amy Bradley or an arrest or conviction of the person or persons responsible for Amy's disappearance. The family is also offering an award of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars for information leading to her safe return, and the family has also a reward of fifty thousand dollars for information leading to her current location. The case was featured on America's Most Wanted. Her mom did an interview with doctor Phil It's kind of gotten quite a bit of attention, but also hasn't gotten enough attention, in my opinion. There is a composite sketch of some of these unidentified men that were spotted with Amy in a few different occurrences. I'm going to post the picture of all of them. They obviously look like drug lords or people who are holding someone against their will in another country. That is the vibe I'm getting from the story. Amy did not simply just vanish into thin air. And there is of course a part of me that wants to hold out hope that Amy is alive. But it's been a really, really long time since this tragedy occurred, and Amy's family has had to kind of figure out how to maneuver on with their lives without their daughter. And I can't imagine the pain that they feel, probably every day, because it's the unknown, not knowing what happened, where Amy is, if she's hurt, if she's suffering, if Amy's even alive. The last time Amy was seen, she was wearing a short sleeved white scoop neck body style T shirt, marine shorts or jeans, a silver NAVL loop ring with an embedded blue bead. She had a man's silver watch, with a blue face, a silver college class ring with the black onyx stone on her right hand, and a thin silver band with cutout turtle figurines on her left wrist. Amy was a Caucasian female with brown hair green eyes. She also may dye her hair blonde. Her ears are pierced multiple times, and she has her belly button pears. She has the following tattoos, a baby Tasmanian devil on the back of her left shoulder, a green and blue gecko lizard around her navel, a Japanese symbol on her right ankle, and a primitive Japanese soun tattooed on her lower back. And she is a cigarette smoker or was as of nineteen ninety eight. The men that were allegedly seen with this person that is alleged to have been Amy, I'm going to give you their descriptions. One of them is described as Caucasian in his late thirties or early forties, between five eleven and six feet tall, with a receding hairline, red hair, and red beard. The other man was in his early thirties, approximately five eleven, with dark, curly shoulder length hair. They have yet to identify who either of these persons are, so there's no way to know if they are in fact involved in her disappearance or not, or it's just some weird coincidence. They definitely do think that foul play is suspected, but there is no evidence to concretely say this. There is nothing to support this theory other than just the speculation and different sightings over the years. So if you have any information on Amy Bradley, you know something, you saw, something, you've heard, something you were asked to report to the authorities asap, and let's try to get some closure for Amy's family, because somebody out there knows something. She's either still out there living probably a life that she never imagined that she would be forced to live, or she is no longer with us and has been taken by these horrible people and her life ended by these horrible people. So I feel like this story too, also kind of goes back to the fact that when you're in another country and you're on vacation and something goes awry, it's really really hard to figure out what happened because you have wherever you are, that country's laws fighting against you more likely than not, and there can also be a lot of different type of cover up situations like this whole ship thing that happened. In amy situation, all of the people that were last seen with her were all giving conflicting stories and there wasn't really anything It doesn't seem like done in the investigation to necessarily rule out that they weren't involved or that they weren't persons of interest because you're on their territory, they're not on yours. So unfortunately, if you are visiting these countries and something bad happens to you, you have to fight like hell to get the justice that you deserve. Look at prime example, Natalie Holloway and the hell that that pos put her mother through for decades, two decades, and we're just finally now twenty years later, getting the justice that is needed for Natalie. It's crazy, it's sad, it's unfortunate, and it should never happen. And the only way that we can really prevent it is just spreading awareness and all always having in those situations, always having a buddy when you're on a ship like that, when you're on a vacation in a different place, always having a buddy and always being with that buddy. Literally twenty four to seven. So that is the story of Amy Bradley. I'm going to post pictures of Amy on my Instagram and Facebook pages and also the composite sketches of those guys share Amy's story, try to spread awareness and hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else, because something like this should never happen to anyone when they're literally just on vacation.
