MISSING: Donna Kay Cloud

Let's talk right now on true crime, and then together we are going to work on warming up some cold cases. Let's go. Hey, guys, welcome to another episode of Primetime Crime. It's Kylie Today's episode. The actual story in case I have for you guys today is a little on the shorter side, much shorter than typical because there's really not a lot of information in this case. But I still wanted to bring it to you. It's been on my list for a while, so I very much wanted to tell the story. But we are going to do a little extended right now on True Crime since there is a lot to catch up on. I am starting to record this on Wednesday, and I will finish recording it on Thursday before the episode is released, because there's a lot of things kind of in limbo hanging in the balance that I want to wait for Thursday to record, one of them being the Menendez brothers hearing. One hearing is tomorrow and the other one is on Friday, and we should have a pretty good idea about what's going to be going on with that. Hopefully by the time I finished recording tomorrow will at least know one of the brothers recommendations. So it's a big deal parole hearing. We're going to talk more about that a little later on in Right Now. In True Crime, they are currently in the process of selecting a jury for the Donna Adelson trial, the fifth person to go to trial for the murder for hire of Dan Markel, her former son in law. It's going to get interesting. They're in the process of taking the jury. I'm hopeful that they're going to be done with that by Thursday, and then they are going to start openings on Friday. But I will continue to keep you guys updated on that. Brandon Lawson, I have talked about him before on this podcast. He went missing back in twenty thirteen. I had talked about that, but they hadn't wanted to release his remains to his family, and his family was fighting to get his remains back, and they finally have released the remains, thank goodness. And they are planning a celebration for life for Brandon at the end of the month August thirtieth, they are going to also try to do a live stream since there has been so many people who have publicly followed his case. His story still really confuses me. I don't know if we're ever going to really know what happened to Brandon. But his family waited a long time to be able to bring his remains home and give him the burial and funeral that he deserves and the memorial that he deserves. So that is going to be taking place at the end of August in Barlson, Texas. So stay tuned to social media. I'll be sharing if you're interested. If you followed along with Brandon's story, I have since it happened in twenty thirteen, So twelve years later, he finally gets to be late to rest by his family and that is worth celebrating if nothing else. Okay, Idaho Forefront, we have a little bit of a BK update. So there was a video leaked from inside of a cell. Ada County denied that it was from them, but of course this has turned into a huge controversy because whoever leaked to the video is likely going to lose their job. It's just a video of him inside of a cell. He looks like he's watching a TV which is kind of encapsulated in this metal frame kind of sort of. It's obviously a small TV, and he's kind of pacing back and forth. He puts something on a shelf at one point in time. So whoever released that video is in major trouble because that is a huge no no, huge, huge no no. But this case has been so sensationalized that everything about him is being released. There's been more documents released, more people that gave statements initially that said that he was really creepy, they had a bad feeling about him, complaints at the school against him. This is the kind of stuff I always tell people, like, trust your gut. Someone like BK doesn't just emerge one day and then decide that he's going to go brutally murder for innocent kids while they sleep in their home. That's not something that you just wake up one day and decide to do. There's planning, there is preparation, there is thought behind it. And even though he didn't necessarily know them, he planned this out. He stalked them, he knew the house, he knew the layout, he knew when was the best time to strike. He planned it out and he's a creep. If you listen to all of the different people that have given their take on things and the way that he acted, he was a creeper through and through, a creeper. He's also apparently been really upset because the other inmates are harassing him and keeping him up at all hours of the night and just not treating him very nice. And I hope it gets worse for him, truly. I hope it gets worse if that's true. I hope that they continually make his life miserable, because that's exactly what he deserves. So speaking of people that deserve to live in misery, Lori Valodabell has been placed back in Idaho. She made her final trip home, where she will spend the rest of her life behind bars. She is, of course, appealing both of her Arizona cases, the one against Brandon Boudreaux and against the murder of her husband, Charles Vallow, And she thinks that she's really something. She thinks she's gonna miraculously be free one day. But she's got another thing common because she just got back to Idaho and that is her home, sweet home for the rest of her life. And she is going to serve out the remainder of her years living in a very small cell. And we couldn't be happier for her in that. The individual who was tried and officially found guilty of murdering mother Rachel Morin, Victor Martinez Hernandez, was sentenced to life in prison without parole plus forty additional years. Again, we love that for him, that is where he deserves to be. He brutally took Rachel's life while she was on a run. She was a mother of five, She had a devoted boyfriend and she went out for a run and he attacked her and murdered her, and also attacked and harmed other people as well. Rachel was not his only victim, and that is how they eventually came to be able to make an arrest and take him to trial, and thank goodness, they got to guilty verdict and he's going to be locked up for life. The justice system often is flawed, but a lot of the times it goes really smoothly and they get it right. And that's exactly what happened in this case. And I'm glad he will never see the light of day again. Okay, this story I've been kind of waiting to speak on for right now in true crime. Obviously, if you know me in real life or we're Internet friends, we've talked about it. If you've asked me about it, I've given you my opinion. But we have got to talk about this seven month old baby, Emmanuel Harrow, who has been missing allegedly since August fourteenth. So this is right outside of San Bernardino, California. This seven month old baby apparently was with his mom. His mom and dad and a couple other siblings were at a I think it was a football game, some type of sporting event situation for one of the other children, and the mom realized that one of the kids needed a mouthguard, so she went to a store, took the baby to the store, and then realized on their way into the store that the baby needed a diaper change and went to change the baby's diaper in the back seat, and at that point, she says she was attacked from behind, but she ended up getting punched in the eye and falling onto the ground and knocked out, I guess, and then when she woke up, the baby was gone. So they're saying the baby is kidnapped. So they gave an interview the parents, and her black eye, in my opinion, is not fresh. I've seen a fresh black eye. I know what a fresh black eye looks like. Hers is obviously in a later stage of healing. But again that is just my opinion, and the video and the interview is very Chris watsish. We just want we just want them back, bring them back, very Chris Watts vibes, in my opinion. And then there's the part of it where investigators are asking different questions and they're realizing that there is some inconsistencies in the mom's story, and they start pressing mom and dad about these inconsistencies, and the parents start refusing to cooperate. So they're saying no more, they want lawyers, all the things, which there's nothing wrong with wanting a lawyer in a situation like this when there is a probability that these parents did not do anything to harm their child, But there's also the probability that there's something more going on here than a random kidnapping. So them wanting a lawyer and refusing to cooperate is not really the greatest feeling in the world, especially because Dad has a prior for injuring his child. He pled guilty to willful child cruelty after his then ten week old daughter was admitted to a hospital with broken bones in twenty eighteen. They apparently have been searching the family's home and surrounding areas. They've obviously been searching for a manual, and they seized the dad's car, and there's just a lot going on. I don't know what's going to come of this as more comes out, if there's an update. Like I said, I'm recording this on Wednesday. If there's an update tomorrow, I will tack it on to the end of this episode, and I'll be sharing on social media if there is any updates. But I just do not have a good feeling about it. Today they did say that there was a potential sighting of a manual. I will believe it when he is home safe and sound if that's the case. But it's all very interesting and we are going to see what comes it. But I will continue to keep you guys updated. All Right, So since I recorded yesterday, more has come out about Brian Coburger. He has filed two formal complaints and I honestly don't even know one is saying that he is being sexually harassed. You can look it up if you want. It's quite interesting. The other one, I'm going to read it because it's just it's insane to me. I have on several occasions not received all items of food on my tray. I addressed this during service. I can't read his handwriting and have yet to receive any replacements. In fact, the kitchen is not even called the policy cook confirms items missing which are pointed out at the time of service will be replaced. I wish to, without exception, receive those replacements, addressing the issue you with staff at the time of meal service. That is like how he said, I tried to formally solve. Informally solve the problem, I suggest the following solution for the problem. I wish for the items to be called two and items replaced. When this occurs. The nutritional standard is not being upheled, unless I something might receive my full tray, like nobody cares, to be quite honest with you, and nobody cares. Also, seeing his handwriting is wild because he was in a master's program and I'm just really confused why he writes like a third grader. It's awful, Like, there's some words I couldn't even read. It was really difficult to read. So how did this individual get accept it into a master's level type program? I have major questions. All Right, I very much wait as long as I could to update you on Eric's parole hearing today. It is still ongoing. It's earlier in California than it is where I live. But I'm just going to have to keep you guys updated on social media because I need to get this episode put together and get it out. So stay tuned to my socials for that, and I'm sure if you follow any type of social media you will definitely see it. So we're going to go ahead and get into today's episode. Remember this one is a little bit on the shorter side, but I still want it to cover it. But I appreciate you guys so so much for listening. All Right, guys, today we are jumping in to a brand new unsolved missing person's case. I am going to be telling you about the twenty sixteen disappearance of a nineteen year old girl named Donna k Cloud from Splendora, Texas. As always, I'm going to start with a bit of background information on Donna and a surprising connection into a well known who I would consider a pop culture icon, Anna Nicole Smith. So let's get into it. Donna K. Cloud was born on June seventh of nineteen ninety seven to her parents, Darryl Beattie and Shelley Cloud. Shelley is actually the cousin of the one and only Anna Nicole Smith, and there is even a clip of Shelley interacting with Anna Nicole on Anna Nicole's E Network show. So that was for me a really interesting little tidbit of information because I have always been fascinated by Anna Nicole Smith and that connection just kind of had me mind blown. So shortly after Donna was born, her mom, Shelley left, and her father wasn't really super heavily involved in her care. I do not know the exact dynamics between the two of them, but I know that Shelley herself, Donna's mom, did suffer from some substance abuse issues. So Donna ended up being raised by her paternal grandparents in Shepherd, Texas. She grew up into a young woman and had her whole life ahead of her. When she was sixteen, Donna became pregnant and gave birth to a little boy named Ryan. Now I saw some contradictory information on this, so this is alleged, but there is reports that Donna had essentially given up custody of her son to the child's father. She was young and struggling with a number of different things, so I'm sure giving up her son was likely at the time the right thing for her to do. According to reports and different articles I've seen, Donna really struggled a lot from the abandonment of her biological parents, So this is very much a contributing factor to some of the circumstances surrounding Donna's life. She was young, she was trying her best. She was trying to get on her feet and be able to make it in life. And it's difficult when you are brought up in a situation where the circumstances aren't the best. It's really really hard to break that cycle. And she was trying. She was trying to do what she could. Donna had also just gotten out of an abusive relationship and had reconnected with her dad, Daryl in twenty fifteen. She did make the decision to move in with her father, Daryl and her stepmother in Splendora, Texas shortly before she went missing. So she reconnects with her dad, Daryl in twenty fifteen, and then she ends up moving in with him, and then we're going to jump forward to October twenty fifth of twenty and sixteen, and this is going to set up her timeline for Donna going missing. So, in the initial part of the investigation, Donna, like I said, went missing, and it was put forward that Donna had left the home that she shared with her father and stepmother to go on a blind date with a man that she had met online and they were supposed to be meeting in Kingwood. So I don't know why the story even happened, why it became a thing, but that was not true. And this is why I think there is a lot of questions in Donna's story because we really don't have a lot of definitive facts and answers because this undrue story was reported as fact, but it's not. So what actually happened is there was some type of disagreement between Daryl and his daughter Donna, and basically Daryl had asked Donna to leave and from there she was picked up by two men, both of which I assumed have been found and interviewed. One of them said he dropped her back off later that night. Now, I don't know if that means back off at her father and stepmother's house or back off somewhere else, but his version of it events is that he dropped Donna back off somewhere now, either shortly before or shortly after midnight on October twenty sixth of twenty sixteen, Donna's Facebook account had accepted a couple of friend requests from two men. She was also noted to be active and online in the early morning hours of October twenty seventh of twenty sixteen, and it looked like she had been searching Facebook for some friends and also active on Google dot Com. Now, from what is known, it is believed that she was traveling between Conrod, Texas and Houston, Texas, but her trail ended in the West Chase area of Houston around one am on October twenty seventh of twenty sixteen, and that is the last time anybody saw or heard from Donna k. Cloud. Now, like I said, she did have an abusive ex boyfriend, and there was also another man in her life that had allegedly threatened her Now the boyfriend did ex boyfriend did pass a polygraph, which is very much a take it or leave it. Whatever you think about polygraph tests, if you think they are reliable, take that for what it's worth. I don't really see anything that points to the ex boyfriend other than him being abusive in the past. I don't see anything really pointing to him being involved in her disappearance, just for what I have found in my own opinion. Now, Donna left everything behind. She left her money, she left her id, she left her clothes. She also left behind her three year old son, which is something I don't believe that Donna would have done on her own free will. Donna's father, Darryl, said that even though they did have a strained relationship, he doesn't think that Donna would have abandoned her family. And I can very much see that you can have a very tough relationship with those that surround you and still not be willing to leave everything behind and kind of start anew She just doesn't really seem the type that would abandon everything and leave everything behind. She had just moved back in with her father and stepmother, and although there was a disagreement or an argument, It doesn't make any sense that she would have just decided that that was it and she was going to pack up and move away when she did have other people surrounding her that really cared other distant relatives, grandmother, grandfather, her sister. She had a lot of people surrounding her that really loved and cared for her. And these were people that she was close with and people that I'm sure she could confide in if something was going on. But in my opinion, there is so many unanswered questions in Donna's case. I would really love to know where this blind date story originated from, because why did that even come up? Initially, that was a huge distraction from the real story, which was Donna was somewhere and all of a sudden, this unknown blind date person from Kingwood was thrust into it. But it just doesn't make any sense as to why it came up in the first place. Was it just a misunderstanding? I don't really know. When Donna disappeared in twenty sixteen, she was only nineteen years old. She was between five foot and five foot two in height and ninety five to eight hundred and thirty pounds. She was wearing a burgundy T shirt, blue jeans with a hole in the back right pocket, and white canvas shoes. She left behind a hard phone case that also functioned as her wallet, which means she left behind her wallet and this was found in her dad's car a few weeks after she went missing. She is a Caucasian female with brown hair and brown eyes. Her ears are pierced and her nose is pierced on the right side. I'm going to list off all of Donna's tattoos because these are very identifiable features and they are very important. She has a diamond on her right ring finger, a cross on her right index finger, words loves enough on her collarbone, the word faith incursive on the inside of her right forearm, a crown on the inside of her forearm, and script writing on the back of her right shoulder blade reading God is within her, she will not fail. She also has deep dimples in both of her cheeks. For me, this story has a lot of holes in it, a lot of questions. There was unfortunately misinformation that was put out there initially. There is a lot of people involved in this that I have a lot of questions for. But the most important thing that we can do as a community is getting Donna's story out there, her name, her face, photos of her tattoos, because somebody knows something. Somebody possibly could have seen something that they don't even realize that they saw. So, as always, it's so important and imperative that we thrust this story out as much as we can. In twenty eighteen, there was an article published that the family had held a big sale and raffle outside of a New Caney Academy and it was basically done to help raise awareness and money for the family to continue their search for Donna, and some deranged human basically came up and sold the raffle money that they had in a jar. This person was just being a jerk, taunting the family, saying that what they were doing was pointless because they were going to quote unquote find her dead anyway, which is just truly horrible to bring up to a grieving family that's trying to raise awareness for their missing loved one. I don't know if this person was ever caught, if they were ever apprehended, or if they were ever even identified, but this is also somebody that I would like to talk to. Were they just somebody who was random, a random jerk in the store, or were they somebody who knew something more and was kind of taunting the family? I have questions. I need to know more. Unfortunately, there are people out there that will kind of prey upon a grieving family like this and use that vulnerability to taunt them and make them feel worse, And I think that is just awful and horrible, and I don't even know why people even think that that's an okay thing to do. So I do think that there are people out there that know what happened to Donna. I would really like to know more about the two guys that allegedly picked her up and then dropped her back off. I want to know did law enforcement thoroughly question them. I would imagine that they have been thoroughly questioned, But it's obvious that she did have her phone with her, but then the trail kind of went cold on the twenty seventh, So what does that mean? Was she in contact with anyone or right before that? I have so many questions about this one, but I do think that the answers are out there. We just have to put Donna's name and her face out there and tell her story and hope that somebody will come forward with information. Her family runs a Facebook group called Missing Donna k Cloud, and I will also link that below as well in the show notes, because in a case like this, exposure really is key. Unfortunately, it hasn't really gotten a lot of local or national attention. I first came across it on Facebook when it was shared by Donna's family, but I didn't know about this until many years after it happened. And it's almost been ten years since Donna went missing, and that is long enough that her family has had to wait for answers. Also, keep in mind, if Donna k Cloud is still out there, she would be twenty eight years old today. That really puts it into perspective when we know that she was nineteen years old when she went missing. I know this one was a little bit shorter, but it's one that I've wanted to share for a while.
