Do we love it? Do we love it? I hope. So I have no idea what I'm doing, but I am slowly learning this podcasting thing and trying to figure out how to make things work. So I've just been toying around kind of with a little intro that I want to have instead of just the music, have like a little like voiceover situation with the music in the background. So you're going to be hearing that from now on at the beginning of the pod. And yeah, we love it. So let's talk right now in true crime. We have a few things to talk about because this past week has been crazy per usual in eleg Murdon news. He was back in court on Tuesday. So what this was was basically what they call a status conference, and it is basically used to kind of set the groundwork for the upcoming evidentiary hearing in the jury tampering. It is being overseen by Justice Jane Tole, And basically he appeared in court. He tripped on his way in, which made mellol a little bit. I'm not gonna lie, But Jane Tole made it very clear that this is not Becky Hill's trial. This is an evidentiary hearing that is going to happen in order to see if Elec Murdau is going to receive a new trial. So her whole thing is she wants to hear from all of the jurors, not just a few jurors that said that different things were going on, but she wants to hear from each and every one of the jurors. And she said, I think it's very important to understand that no one, not myself or anyone else is going to be asking the jurors about the specifics of their deliberation. And the rule is quite clear about that everything will be done in open court. The jurors will be referred by referred to by number, and they are going to work their way through everything to see if there is consistency in people saying that these certain things happened and they were swayed one way or another. Justice gene Tole also said, this is not the trial of miss Hill, and issues about motive and so forth and the possible commission of crimes are not what this inquiry is about. It is about her contact, if any, with the juror and what she said. She also said, this is not a time to explore every mistake or incorrect statement or false statement that has ever been made by this witness. So Gine is going to get to the bottom of it. I have total faith in her. I think she is a professional, and she is going to handle this the best way that she feels and the best way she knows how So they're going to put the twelve jurors under oath and they are going to be questioned by Jean herself, and she's going to get to the bottom of what happened. So the evidentiary hearing is scheduled for January twenty ninth to the thirty first, and it is going to be a really, really interesting so I will be sure to keep you guys updated on that. But Elick was like super defeated at the end of the day, like head in his hands, like sulking, not the vibe he wanted, because I think he thinks it's a slam dunk. He's a lawyer, he knows what he's doing. He's not a dumb man, and I think he thinks that he has this in the bag. He has this retrial like literally within fingertips reach and justice. Jean Tole was like, no, sir, my court, not yours. Love that love that for her. So I cannot wait to see this all unfold. That Elec Murdot scandal is never going to stop, and I am here for it. Also on Tuesday, suspected Long Island serial killer Rex Hereman was charged in a fourth murder, and that is the murder of marine Bernard Barnes. And we have talked about her case and how everything kind of came to fruition. Her remains were found in twenty ten near Gig Beach and Rex has definitely been connected and tied allegedly, and they are now charging him with her murder. So that is the fourth in his charges as of right now, I expect that more are going to be coming down the pipeline. Will definitely keep you updated on that because that one is a rabbit hole. Switching gears. Now we're going to talk about the Kansas City three people found dead in the backyard. A scientist lives in the home. So Jordan Willis, who was living at the home at the time that these three guys were found in his backyard, he is moving out of the home like U haul backed up to the garage, move his stuff out of the home. Investigators are being pretty tight lipped about it. The family members of these three men who were found dead in Jordan's backyard after simply going over to Jordan's home to watch the Kansas City Chiefs game. They're being very tight lip. They're not really saying if Jordan's suspects. Of course, toxicology and autopsy results are still pending that I'm aware of. I haven't heard anything new, but there's just a lot going on. They haven't officially named Jordan as a suspect, but he's moving out of the home just a week after this happened. And Jordan's a very smart man. He is a scientist, has done a lot of incredible things. But you can't be too smart if you have three dead bodies in your backyard and two cars in your driveway that belong to these men, and you ignore their family and friends when they're trying to come over it, trying to contact you to figure out what is going on. It's just suspicious. Like I never want to ever accuse somebody of doing something, but when your actions just don't pass the vibe check, then your actions don't pass the vibe check. So that's all I'm gonna say, allegedly, in my opinion, his actions do not pass the vibe check. My opinion, my personal opinion. But it's really interesting too. His sister is a realtor, and I guess she's in the area, and she had posted a picture of a dead bird. This was like weeks before the three bodies were found, and I guess out of how she was showing there was like three dead birds on the porch of this home. And she posted on Facebook and was basically tagging the police department and said I have a triple homicide here and posted like a picture of the dead bird and like someone's killing birds. And that's just weird to me that you're first of all posting about that, but then a couple weeks later, your brother has three dead bodies in his backyard. Something don't smell right. I'm just saying it allegedly. In my opinion, something doesn't smell right, So gonna keep you updated on that. But Jordan is moving out of the home and that is where we stand. The families, of course, want as much attention on these three people as possible so we can try to get justice for them. Whatever the case may be. Whatever happened inside of that house, they deserve, The families deserve answers. The story I did last week on Kadija Darry, the police have come out with a statement and I'm going to read that statement now. This is from the Converse Police Department. On twelve six, twenty twenty three, the Converse Police Department began its investigation regarding the murder of Kadujha Darry. The Converse Police Department, from the onset has been diligently working with Texas Rangers, the FBI, and the Secret Service. All investigative resources, forensics and available technology has and it's currently being utilized in this investigation. The investigation has led to a vast amount of information and potential leads, all of which will and have been investigated to determine the validity and relevance to the investigation. The Converse Police Department has made significant progress in the investigation and we are hopeful that soon forensic evidence crucial to the investigation will expedit a favorable conclusion. The Converse Police Department understands the importance of transparency with not only the media but the public, although providing information regarding the specifics of the investigation will not be released released. The release of specific information regarding this investigation would be irresponsible, potentially detrimental to the progress of the investigation, the arrest of those responsible and a successful prosecution. Detectives communicate with the victim's family regularly and will continue The Converse Police Department, as stated on numerous occasions, will release additional information when it is reasonable and responsible to do so. The investigation is complex, the investigation is ongoing. We will continue to investigate and will not stop. The Converse Police Department wants nothing other than to arrest those responsible and to bring to bring what little closure we can to the family. So a pretty good solid statement from the Converse Police Department. They're at least addressing it. I think the social media attention of this case, the people that are in the Facebook group have really, really been pushing to get this case a little bit more attention, and they've really been pushing back. And I love that the power of social media, when you use social media for good, I think it is such a good thing. So I'm definitely going to keep you guys updated on this story. I hope and pray that they are able to figure out what happened to Kadijia, who did it, why they did it, and bring those sobs to justice because they deserve it. All Right, last thing I want to talk about and this has me actually shook to my core, and there's not a lot of attention about it out there. So if you haven't heard about this before, it's because there's literally no one talking about it, and more people need to be talking about it. Over two hundred bodies were found in unmarked graves at Hines County Popper Cemetery, which is located behind a prison in Jackson, Mississippi. And this is literally like it's become a dumping ground for prisoners at the prison who have passed away, and nobody has claimed they put them there. And these bodies were not properly cared for, they weren't embombed, they were literally just put there, and there's an activist named Arthur Reid who was involved, and he said that the conditions of corpses were inhumane, and there were so many graves that were only accompanied by a middle rod and a number, and the smell and the odor from this area is so strong that it has been attracting buzzards. So this is not okay. So they're saying that since two thousand and eight, approximately three hundred and thirty people have been buried at the cemetery, And there's an extensive log that's fourteen pages in length, and it says that the cemetery has six hundred and seventy two names listed and includes informations such as birth and death dates, gender, and race, as well as the whereabouts of the fallen before they were buried in this area. But most of the graves and the people there are not necessarily known people. And this is a problem, a huge problem, and we're going to talk about why in a minute. So there is a woman who had filed a missing person's report because her son, Dexter Wade, had gone missing. She filed this missing person's report, and it turns out that Dexter the very day that his mom last saw him, was walking somewhere along the street there in Jackson, Mississippi, was hit by a police officer. Like the police officer if it was an accident, it doesn't really matter. Accidentally ran this man over and then his body was dumped in the cemetery. His mom is looking for him, thinking that he is still out there talking to missing persons detectives from this same department that this cop that ran him over and killed him worked for. There was a huge miscommunication. This man, Dexter Wade god Rest, his soul was literally dumped there like trash by the police department. That is a freaking problem. I'm not gonna cuss. That is a freaking problem. It is not okay. And if this is something that is widely known about by different people in this community, that becomes a really good place to hide a body because nobody's going to look there, nobody's going to check. And that is why it's a problem. How many other missing people are in that exact place because nobody is following up, nobody is checking, nobody is being held responsible. That police officer that killed Dexter is a piece of shit. We're just gonna put it accident or not your actions following something that wasn't in your control, like accidentally running someone over. Tell the whole story, and that is nothing but a cover up, and it is not okay with me. It is a big, big problem. There is another woman named Gretchen Hankins and her son went missing and he was missing for a year and seven months before they said, oh, your son has passed away. He was also in that cemetery. I don't know the circumstances of how he past, but that is a big, big, big problem. And she said, I want them to lose their jobs because they didn't do their job. This is going bananas on TikTok, as it should, and I think more people need to be talking about this. There needs to be an uproar, and this is a big deal. I do remember hearing about Dexter, but I didn't really know the details of a story. And now to know that there's other people that potentially could be there that are also listed as missing persons, their families are still holding out hope and they've been literally thrown away like trash, Like you are not a good person if you make that decision to do that to somebody else, regardless of if they are living or not, they still were a person. They still have family, they have parents, they have siblings, they have friends. It is horrible. I want a f bomb so bad right now, but I'm not going to. I am maintaining my composure. But ridiculous that this is happening and that more people aren't talking about it. This is enraging and the Jackson Police Department, anyone involved in this needs to be held accountable asap, because it really is frustrating. Who knows who else is in that cemetery. And I'm hoping that a thorough investigation is being done and those that are responsible for some of the not so great great things that happened in Dexter's case, in David's case are brought to justice asap, and I hope that they're treated a little nicer than Dexter, David and two hundred plus other people that are in that cemetery. All Right, I'm fired up enough. Let's go ahead and go into today's episode. Okay, guys, we are diving into a new case today. I found this case a while ago, and what I do is I'll always just kind of save it to like my favorite or whatever the case may be so I can come back and kind of circle back and find cases when I need a new one to do. So this one was extremely bizarre to me, and I felt like it deserved the coverage and again telling the story, getting the word out, because this is one that someone knows something and someone is hiding something, and this person deserves justice. So today we are going to be talking about the murder of a man named Nick Cordova. So first thing, first, we're going to talk a little bit about Nick, what he was doing leading up to his untimely death, and then we're going to talk about his murder and go from there. So Nick Cordova was born on October sixteenth of nineteen seventy nine in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was raised by his mother, Teresa. He graduated from Chandler High School in nineteen ninety eight, and he was really involved in sports, especially football and wrestling. He finished high school, decided to go on to become a personal trainer and did this for a few years before he decided to kind of delve into the air conditioning, heating, and ventilation business, and he even went as far as to buying a company called Gilbert Air and he was really working to establish that company and provide for his family. Nick was married to a woman named Alicia. They had met in two thousand and three and they got married in twenty eleven. And Nick had two children with Alicia, and he was very dedicated to his family and his kids. He was very dedicated to his work and his business, starting his business, running his business. He was dedicated to his wife, his kids, and he was very outdoorsy. He loved camping trips and would also go to the lake a lot. And he was just like an outdoorsy guy. So basically just your average all around guy who was doing his best to provide for his family. So Nick's murder occurred on May twenty seventh of twenty twenty, and initially there wasn't much released about this case at all. A lot of people didn't even know that this had happened outside of Nick's inner circle and those that were close with Nick or knew of Nick. So here are the circumstances of Nick's death slash murder. Because it was a murder. So Alicia was home on this particular day with their children, and one of them decided or both of them decided that they wanted to FaceTime their dad. He was at work at his business, and they face timed him. He was talking with them and one of the kids said that something was wrong with their dad, but they couldn't figure out what it was. But they heard like this scuffle and then they couldn't see anything. It was just really, really bizarre. So immediately Alicia realized that something was wrong and she called the police and obviously knew that Nick was at work. The cops went ahead and went to the scene, and when they got there to Gilbert Heating and Air, they found Nick had been killed. Just out of nowhere. Nick was dead. So the location of this place was five to eleven West Guadalupe Road and it is called Gilbert Air Heating and Cooling. So they found Nick dead immediately. They start trying to investigate and piece together this random homicide that happened, but police didn't really release this information. A lot of people that lived in the area knew that they thought that they had heard that somebody had died on the street that the business was on, but they didn't know any details. They were very very tight lipped about this, which I don't really understand why because somebody obviously went into this man's business and killed him. If it was targeted, if it was random, it doesn't matter because this person obviously has no value for human life and they're out there. So I feel like they should immediately be releasing information to the public, but they didn't. For a while, they did not release any information to the public. Of course, Alicia is traumatized, upset. Her kids witnessed this on FaceTime. None of it made any sense why anyone would target Nick. He was forty years old. He was a devoted family man, a devoted man to his job, and he didn't have anyone out there that disliked him. He didn't have any enemy. There was nothing evident that anyone can think of that would cause someone to bring harm to Nick. So the cause of death of Nick was from a gunshot wound. Unfortunately, whoever did this ambushed him, shot him, and took his life, all while he was just having an innocent FaceTime call with his children. Who does this to someone. It is the absolute worst thing I can even imagine for those poor kids to have to witness what they witnessed, even though they didn't realize what they were witnessing. Horrible, horrible, horrible so of course police come in and they're trying to figure out what happened, talk to anyone who was around, gather a list of evidence and suspects to try to figure out what happened to Nick. So the only other person who was there that day, and I don't know if he was there exactly when the murder happened or he came right after, was Nick's business partner. Now, this business partner has been pretty quiet. There is very little known about him, and there is some speculation that he may have, in some way, shape or form been involved. I do not want to speculate. Cops have not named him as a suspect or a person of interest or anything like that, but the Internet is the Internet, and the Internet talks, so there is speculation around him, I think, just more or less because he has been very silent on the matter, and he was Nick's business partner. I think they went in on this business project together with this ventilation and cooling company. So again police are doing their due diligence and talking to everyone, especially people that were there that day, but business partner guy remains pretty silent on anything. I'm sure he gave statements to police and they are using what he said to try to figure out what happened. So of course they check security footage from areas nearby, and they do find security footage of a specific person of interest. There's actually two people who they suspect are the people who committed this crime against Nick. And they see these two suspects going to a convenience store that is right nearby, and they pretty much just walk from the crime scene to this convenience store as if nothing happened. And one of them in particular, was caught on camera. And when I say they have footage of this guy, it is clear as day footage. You can see exactly exactly what this man looks like like. It's not grainy, it's not blurry, you can see his facial features, you can see all of the things. And this is the man that they suspect to be involved, one of two involved in Nick's murder. And still to this day, this man has not been identified. They have no idea who he is. It's insane because it is probably the clearest video footage I have ever seen of someone and not have them be identified yet. It's crazy. So the suspect that they have on surveillance is Hispanic or Native American, approximately five to eight. He is a heavier guy, so they say heavier set build. And the suspect number two is not pictured, so we do not know really anything about him, but we have a clear as day picture of the suspect numeru Uno. Alicia Nick's wife has been very vocal about the lack of progress in this case, and obviously, knowing that there are suspects out there, one is like very clearly pictured, she issued a statement to him and the statement is as follows, to the man who did this, shame on you. You took my children's father from them and my husband for seventeen years. Our family is never going to recover from this. We're never going to be okay. Just finding the people behind this will give us some closure, if possible. It really makes reality sit in a little bit more that this is real life and he's not just on vacation and he's not going to be home, and he's not going to be here for the things that he should be here for. Now. Depending on what article you look at, you kind of get differing information about this partner that Nick had. This partner was somebody who partnered with him in the business, but he was a silent partner. He wasn't often at the office, but he happened to be at the office that day. I've also seen other things that say that he just came in after the fact, But then I've also seen things about him actually being there during the attack and in the scuffle getting knocked out, which doesn't really vibe because there's nothing in the police reports or anything like that that say that anyone else was injured during the incident. During Nick's murder, it just doesn't really make sense. There's not really a ton of information that we're getting. And this all happened in Gilbert, Arizona, which the only thing that I could think about when I heard Gilbert Arizona is I thought about Lori Vaalo because she lived in Gilbert for a period of time. Now, in my research, like I said, I couldn't really find a lot of new information in regards to any updates on this case, but I did find the silent partner is David Sweetman and Alicia Cordova. On August thirty first of twenty twenty, filed a lawsuit against David Sweetman, and it was filed in the Maricopa County Superior Court system, and there is a filing date, and there's details of the plaintiff and the defendant. Now the defendants are Gilbert Air LLC, David Michael Sweetman, and Monster Impound and Recovery LLC. So, unfortunately, I couldn't access any of the core documents in regards to that lawsuit. But I did a little bit more digging because I'm nosey as hell, and I found a lot about this Monster Towing company which is owned by David Sweetman. So I'm gonna read this. This is from like a complaints board dot com Monster Impound and Recovery review, and this was updated December eighteenth of twenty twenty two, so this is semi current ish. Okay, Yesterday my friend was enjoying lunch at Jack in the Box on Mill Avenue and University in Tempe, Arizona. He was harassed by an employee of Monster Towing, a company with a notorious reputation. As he was exiting the restaurant, my friend was able to snap a photo of the employee, named Jesse. Jesse harassed my friend and threatened to call police to remove him from the property, despite the fact that my friend was a paying customer. I myself was friends with Monster Towing owner David Michael Sweetman's wife Laura, who died under suspicious circumstances last year following a nasty divorce from David. David Michael Sweetman's company is a fraud. For years, his company has broken state laws by towing cars away from Jack in the Box without warning. Paying customers come to the location would then come outside after eating, only to see that their vehicles vanished. The owner would then refer them to Monster Impound and Recovery in Phoenix. The customers would then travel all the way out to nine o two East Broadway, one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Phoenix, to pick up their cars. Arizona state laws require that customers be allowed to drive their cars away without paying, and Monster usually only gives people access to their vehicles when the customers call police. Yes, Monster still has the right to charge people who broke the rules and illegally parked, but the customers themselves are allowed to take the case to small claims court. David Michael Sweetman has lost countless judgments in court and doesn't even bother showing up. In addition, Monster towing has a reputation for stealing from cars. My uncle got his car towed and ended up losing his HP laptop. Yet Monster cannot be held liable. The Monster employee who harassed my friend, Jesse, has a reputation as David Michael Sweetman's right hand man. Jesse recorded my friend upon exiting the restaurant, and my friend tried to be nice to him, offering to shake his hand, but Jesse refused. My friend also asked about the accusation levied against his boss, David Michael Sweetman about the suspicious death of his wife in December of twenty fourteen. Jesse said the divorce was already finalized, but that doesn't make key facts go away. Guys, this is a lot. Laura endured yours of physical and mental abuse at the hands of David Michael Sweetman. She had just won a big she had just won big in the divorce, and David was bitter. In addition, Laura was physically healthy forty three year old woman with young children. She was definitely not the suicidal type, nor was she suffering from cancer or any type of disease. She once told me and other friends in private that David threatened to poison her several times, as well as other people he had disputes with. I know for a fact he was furious over the divorce. As I end my post, I asked that you boycott Monster Impound and Recovery and Monster Tow and use a more reputable company. I also asked that people wanting to grab a bite to eat in Tempe boycott the Jack in the Box on seven twenty one South Mill Avenue until the owner chooses to cut ties with Monster Towing and get a different, more reputable toe company. David Michael Sweetman and his employees like Jesse, are scam artists who flagrantly abuse the law and hold people's cars hostage for money. I hope that after you read my post, you will cease doing business with them, if you haven't already. Holy Molly, Now that was done. That review was done by Joey m of Tempe, Arizona. And again we are not dragging David Michael Sweetman. I am just giving you the information that I have been presented with this case. There is a lot of information out there on the YouTube and on the Google about this man and his company, and none of it seems to be good. This is all alleged, This is all an opinion. There are definitely two sides to every single story. But it just so happens that this man that has all of this bad stuff surrounding him also was the silent business partner Nick Cordova, who ended up being ambush and murdered in his own place of business. I'm just putting that out there, so really really interesting information there, and these claims and disputes against David Sweetman go way back. I see claims from people in this monster company in twenty thirteen. This is a lot of information, and there's a lot of like not good things about this individual out there. Again, it is all alleged. It is all a matter of what people on the Internet are saying. But I think it's relevant to the story because David did happen to be there at the time that Nick was murdered. So we have to talk about him, we just do. Police have not ever formally named him as a suspect. I am not going to formally name him as a suspect. I'm simply just telling the story because that is part of this story. But nonetheless, this is all really interesting information. Whoever did this to Nick. They obviously have a image of this man, and there is another man that was involved, they do not have images of him, but the man that did this, they have very very clear images of him. I am going to post those pictures to my Instagram and Facebook pages, as well as pictures of Nick and his family, him and his wife Alicia, and Nick just seems like a normal, all around normal guy, not somebody who deserved to be ambushed while he was literally in his office at work, FaceTime his kids. A horrible, horrible way for your family to have to come to terms with the fact that you've not only passed away, but you've been taken in such a monstrous way by God knows who and for what reason. Will know ever know. It doesn't seem like robbery was the motive. Nothing was taken, None of it makes any sense why Nick was targeted. And I'm hoping this case doesn't really get a lot of attention. So I'm hoping that at least me telling the story, we'll give it a little bit of attention and we can kind of get this story out there again. There is a Facebook page that is called Justice for Nick Krdova, and I will be sure to link that in the show notes on there. It has the information in regards to the murder suspect and the picture of him. And there's been a lot of YouTube people who have done the story of Nick and they talk to Alicia and they kind of talk about the different things in regards to Nick's murder and they're basically just trying to do what I'm trying to do and raise awareness and next steps. So an important thing to talk about. This one was a bit of a rabbit hole for me. I'm not gonna lie. I definitely went down the rabbit hole. And there's a lot of information out there in regards to conspiracy theories as to what happened and everything. Again, I'm not trying to speculate. I'm not putting anything out there that's not already out there. I am simply just gathering what we know and talking about who was there and putting forward some of the things that have gone on since. So really interesting. Please share this episode, talk about it. Let's try to bring this person to justice. Somebody knows who this guy is. He's very he's a very distinct look, I believe, and I feel like if he still is in Arizona, someone knows him, and somebody knows something that they're not telling, So we're putting pressure on this person to come forward, do the right thing, and let Nick's family know what happened so they can have a little bit of closure in this horrible journey that they've been on for the last almost four years.
