Let's talk right now in true crime, and then together we are going to work on warming up some cold cases. Let's go. Hey, guys, welcome back to another episode of Primetime Crime. It's Kylie. We are not doing right now and true crime for this week because I am when this is released, just getting back from Crime Con, so we're just doing a regular episode and I will catch up right now in true crime whenever I get my life together. But I did want to get this episode recorded so I can have it out for you guys on Monday. Today, we are going to be talking about the unsolved case of a guy named Noah press Grove. This one happened semi recently. It happened last year in twenty twenty three over Labor Day weekend. So first we're going to talk a little bit about Noah, and then we're going to talk about the events that led up to his untimely passing. And then We're going to unpack a bunch of other stuff because there is a lot with this one, so bear with me. So Noah was nineteen years old. He was born in Duncan, Oklahoma, but he primarily was raised in Comanche, Oklahoma. Noah was very popular in high school, a very well liked He played all the different sports. He played football, he participated in wrestling, track, and cross country, and he was actually waiting on his younger cousin, Travis, to graduate so that way they could go and join the Marines together. That was something that they both wanted to do, but Noah was waiting on Travis to finish high school so that way they could go and do that together. And at the time of Noah's death, he was living with his grandmother. His parents were very much around, he just lived with his grandmother. So the weekend in question is Labor Day weekend of last year, so September first through third of twenty twenty three. September first fell on a Friday and the fourth ended up falling on a Monday. So that weekend, some of Noah's extended family had invited him to a festival called Rockklahoma, and he was kind of torn whether to go to that or to go to this birthday party that he had been invited to. So the birthday party was actually the twenty second birthday party of a gal named Avery Joe Combs, and she was a friend of Noah's. Her family were big landowners in the area, so they knew a lot of people. Everyone kind of knew them, And the party was advertised on Snapchat and it was held at Avery's house, and there was three homes on this property. Was held at one of the homes. It was on a small dirt road which was just off of the highway, and it was surrounded by fields, so it was like a really vast area, a good place to have a big party. And the party was going to be held over the span of a few days, so it wasn't just like one evening and move on. It was like this big event. So about forty guests ended up coming to the party, and they kind of came and went over the course of the long weekend. So Noah ultimately ended up going to the party instead of going to the Rocklahoma festival. And he first went out to the party on Saturday night. He drove himself and he ended up coming back home sleeping, and then he decided that he was going to go back on Sunday. So there's two different accounts of what actually happened on Sunday. So the first one is that a friend of Noah's had picked him up from his house and then they ended up going to this truck stop so Noah could get some food from Sonic, and then the friend left him at the truck stop, which is and then Noah ended up getting picked up at the truck stop by another friend who was actually the girl that was having the birthday party, and they ended up going to the party from there. The other story is that his best friend had picked him up and they went directly to the party. Either way, regardless of what the truth is here, he ended up back at the party for Sunday night. So, as with any young early twenties late teens party, there was a lot of drunken antics and they were all being pretty much put on Snapchat because that's what kids do, and the videos are out there you can definitely find them. There's videos of them playing something called the slack game, or they just try to slap each other in the chest as hard as they can. There's other videos of them like going through like wooden palettes. There's videos of them playing beer pong, you know, the usual kid kind of stuff. But of course, because they're was so much alcohol and different people in this area at this party, there ended up being a confrontation that Noah had with a couple of different people. And one of those people that he had this confrontation with was one of his best friends, his actual best friend. And I don't know exactly the circumstances of this, but what I've heard is that Noah was talking to his best friend's girlfriend, like they were like in the corner talking, and the best friend was upset that Noah was talking to his girlfriend, and they started to get into a verbal altercation, but then they later squashed it and they made up. You know, drunken friends doing drunken stupid things, picking fights with each other, that's kind of what happens in these situations. And they're both young. They're nineteen years old, so they're young. So then there was another confrontation that actually became physical with this sixteen year old, and for whatever reason, this sixteen year old thought that Noah had taken his phone and hid in his phone, so he ended up coming up behind Noah and fish hooking in his mouth, which is gross. Don't put your hands in other people's mouths. I don't care what you think they did to you. That's gross. And Noah ended up biting his finger when he did that, because obviously, if someone puts their finger in your mouth, you're gonna react. That's just human nature. But that was pretty much it. It really didn't escalate too much more than that. But if you watch the videos of the kids all standing around, there's a lot going on, Like obviously there's a lot of drinking, there's a lot of games and other things going on, and there's you know, kids just standing around with rifles like there's it's not really an ideal situation, but when you're nineteen, you really don't understand that that's probably not like the best environment for you to be in because you're nineteen and your brain isn't fully developed yet. And then there was also talk that the host of the party really liked Noah, and Noah wasn't into it and ended up like being mean to her and calling her names, which I don't fully believe that that's true. That's, of course just rumors because she was into him, he wasn't into her, and apparently the mom of this girl after Noah was found. I'm kind of skipping ahead a little bit, but after Noah was found, the mom of this girl contacted Noah's family and said, actually, Noah was really a lot more into me than he was into my daughter, which I feel like is a really weird statement coming from a grown woman about a nineteen year old And why do you feel like that's important. Anyways, I'll never understand like the small town I peaked in high school kind of vibes that this mom gives off, but that's kind of what I'm getting from her, allegedly in my opinion. So anyways, back to the party. So at some point during the night, some of the girls started drawing on Noah. He had a shirt off and they were drawing all over him, drawing on his back, drawing on his stomach. Some of them had drawn on him and wrote things like Noah's hot. And all of this stuff was posted a Snapchat. That's how they know that this stuff existed because it was on Snapchat. And there was also a part of the evening again, this is Sunday night where Noah was writing in a ATV side by side and ended up crashing and getting covered in dirt. So when he crashed, he was tossed out of the ATV and one of the party guests, who was a CNA, checked him out and didn't see any injuries on him. There's a lot of misconceptions that she is a nurse. She is not a nurse, and she really is probably drunk and has no idea what's going on. So the fact that she was a credible person to check him out really isn't all that true. So anyways, she checked him out after he crashed and didn't see any injuries and he was covered in mud. So some of the party guests gave Noah a shower. Now, this whole shower thing is really bizarre to me because there is very much a conflicting report as to whether Noah was awake and alert during this time. So some of the partygoers say that Noah was awake and conscious and aware that this shower was happening, and others say he was not. He was passed out and not doing well he was having the shower. So from what I can gather, later on, after the shower, Noah is in clothes that are not his because his clothes were covered in mud from the ATV accident. So at some point Noah became upset about trying to sleep on a bed and was being told that he needed to sleep on the floor. And that was early Monday morning, so early September fourth, So because of being told he needed to sleep on the floor at his not even his own house, Like I don't feel like he would be upset about being told he need to sleep on the floor because he was a guest. Anyways, he was allegedly so upset about that that he decided he was going to go for a walk to kind of cool off and calm down. And the party guests say that he was wearing his best friend shorts and that when he got up to go out, he could only find one of his shoes, so he just grabbed another random shoe and then headed out the door. So the house, like I said, was fairly close to the highway, and at three forty one am, a friend and party groer posted a snapchat of her smiling with the caption, well, Noah is missing and that photo is still in circulation. It's out there. I will post it on my Instagram. On Facebook, pages. So this is the last photo that was posted in relation to the party at three forty one am. So around five o'clock that morning, a truck driver along with two weather cars had stopped because they saw something in the road and it ended up being Noah's body. So he was naked on the side of the road aside from being in two different shoes, and he was curled up in a fetal position. There appeared to have been trauma to the back of his head. He had scrapes on his shoulder and his hip, and he also had fingertip injuries and these injuries to his fingers are described as being shredded to the bone. They also noticed that his teeth had been knocked out and they were scattered at the scene. But there wasn't really any blood at the scene except for that that was just directly from his injuries. It didn't look like whatever occurred to harm Noah happened exactly right at that scene. Also, the really interesting thing about it is all the writing that was on Noah's body was no longer there. The writing that was in these snapchat videos was not there, and this writing was put on with permanent marker. So if you put something on with permanent marker, you have to scrub a lot in order to get that permanent marker off. So even the fact that he did have a shower, which is still so weird to me, I just don't see like there being no trace of any marker anywhere on Noah's body because he was covered from pretty much head to toe in permanent marker. And the other interesting thing is the shorts that he was supposedly wearing that night were found folded up next to him, which does not make a lick of sense to me. The partygoer said that he must have been hit by a car and the shorts ended up being knocked off of him, which also does not make any sense to me. So by six am, law enforcement is called out and they are aware of Noah being found and is you know, they're starting to officially start their investigation. Every single piece of anything that was posted on snapchat about that party had been completely deleted and wiped and no longer existed. And also, oddly enough, law enforcement did not go search the property where this party happened initially because they said Noah wasn't found there, so we're not really concerned about it. But I think that that party scene holds a hell of a lot of secrets if you ask me. So they of course started to interview people. They did mass interviewers of all the partygoers, and Noah's best friend's girlfriend was one of the people they interviewed, and she said that she didn't even know Noah, which is obviously not true, and she had wiped everything from her cell phone, even to the point that she didn't even have her boyfriend's numbers saved into her phone anymore because she had wiped it completely clean. So some of the interviews that they did, they talk about Noah getting a shower, and some of them say, you know, he was awake and alert, he was joking around and acting like himself, and others say that he was pretty much unconscious during the shower. Noah's close that he actually to the party in that Sunday have never been found. But there is a rumor, and this is like really skeevy to me, that Noah's best friend's dad found his shirt and he ended up taking the shirt and cut it up and gave it out to other partygoers as a memento. Because that is some sick shit right there. If that's true. That is very very alleged, but that is what has been reported. Also, the same guy, Noah's best friend's dad was at the scene and allegedly picked up some of Noah's teeth from the scene and like put them in his pocket, which is so so bizarre to me. I don't understand what this guy is doing. Why he thinks that it's okay to insert himself into these situations and do like, really really sketchy things allegedly. So there's also been reports that this same individual has been on the Facebook page that Noah's family started and is arguing with people in the comments, because all grown adults like to argue in the comments these days. It just doesn't really make any sense to me, and nobody from the party really could give law enforcement any specific information, so they very much had their work cut out for them trying to figure out what happened that night and how Noah ended up where he ended up, and how he ended up dead. So they ended up obtaining a geofence warrant, and with this they were able to find out and trace that two phones had left the house to the area to where Noah was found, and then they ended up returning back to the home, which is interesting, and those people of course were questioned and they said that the reason that the phones left the home and were in that area is because they went to look for Noah because they knew that he was missing. But also that doesn't really track as if they had gone to that area, they would have found Noah, which they are not the ones that found Noah. It was a random truck driver that found him. Police ended up issuing a war for a black pickup truck that they believed that was used to dump Noah's body. Law enforcement did say this wasn't a hit and run, but also not necessarily a murder investigation, and they of course turned Noah's body over to the medical examiner, and he said that Noah died from multiple blunt force traumas he had ten broken ribs, skull, neck, and spine fractures. And the family had also heard rumor somewhere along the way that there was a golf club set that was from his best friend's truck that also may have been involved, which again is pretty interesting information. The family has went ahead and hired a private investigator, and Noah's story just kind of is there at this point, there hasn't been any arrests, There hasn't been any major developments as far as anything goes. I think we all are pretty smart and kind of know what happened here. I don't think anyone intentionally set out to harm Noah, but I think a series of unfortunate events happened. Noah ended up in a situation and he ended up getting killed for whatever reason, drug, alcohol induced, whatever it might have been. And we of course have a family that has a lot of influence and they are able to do things in a certain way to maybe get rid of any potential evidence because kids do stupid shit sometimes, and it's just really sad that someone lost their life like this, in such a horrific way when it was supposed to be a fun weekend. So there is also word that the home and the property where the party was wreaked a bleach after the incident. So Noah's best friend, Jack Newton is his name. There's text messages that have been kind of leaked between him and other people, and someone had I guess about Noah being beat up, and Jack says he wasn't beat up. You know, I loved him more than anyone, and I want justice for him so bad. He deserved it, but I'm still really thinking it had something to do with and run, which I don't know what that means. And then someone asked what about him being in the shower, and Jack replies, so, according to everyone that was awake, all of his close friends said that he wrecked my sxs. I had there around three and he was super dirty and super drunk, and a couple of girls helped him in the shower, and when he got out, he wanted to sleep in one of the girl's bed and she said no and said that upset him, and he walked off. So that is text between Jack and another friend. And then there's another text with Jack and they're inquiring about the argument that him and Noah got into, and Jack replies and says when, and the person says earlier, and he says that day. And then they said just heard y'all got into an argument and just curious what it was about. And Jack said, we didn't argue that day, and then they said that weekend may have been Saturday, and Jack said, but the day before we argued about girls for like a second, and then ended up holding each other, crying, telling each other how much we meant to one another. And then when it comes back to some of the videos that were posted on Snapchat, the slap video was posted on Snapchat at one forty two in the morning, and everyone said that that was the last real post that was posted for about two hours until the video of or the Snapchat video, Snapchat picture whatever was posted of the girl saying like Noah's messing while she's smiling. There is another conversation regarding the ATV situation. Someone said, he walked off to Clear's head and never came back. Everything else about the story will be released in the news tomorrow. I'm not supposed to say anything else. And then someone replied, so he didn't take off on the ATV with someone else, and they said no, earlier that night he was and he flipped it. But then earlier he was just hanging out at the house, like he turned it on its side, but they flipped it back on its wheels. And then someone said, okay, and the IG story about him having beef with someone is true since he walked away and was mad, And they said, no, we don't know why he got mad. Nobody had beef. So the friend that posted the Snapchat photo with her smiling and saying Noah's missing. She ended up posting on social media, and I'm going to read her posts now. I just want to make something clear. I posted this picture not knowing that what that the worst was going to happen, not knowing Noah would never come back. It was normal for Noah to wander off. Nobody thought he wouldn't be back. So don't even think for a second just because I posted that means I know what happened to him, because I'm just as clueless as everyone else. I'm sick of it. Noah was my friend and I loved him so much. It hurts that people could even think that any of us could have done anything to hurt him. We all love Noah, and we have told the authorities everything that we know. Y'all think y'all have it figured out, y'all, don't. Someone is really out there thinking they got away with murder because y'all are blaming us for something we didn't do. I hope and pray that nobody ever has to go through any of this, losing a friend or someone you love so dearly and would never hurt. I just hope that when the truth comes out that the real criminal hasn't gotten away with something they shouldn't have. I have nothing more to say to anyone. I've told all I know. I don't know what y'all what more of y'all want from me. I've told nothing but the truth. And that was posted April twenty eighth of this year by the gal that posted the snapchat photo. Another thing I do want to say because I think it's important. The next morning, so this is before Noah was found, Jack Newton, who is Noah's best friend, realizes and now knows that Noah is missing, but really just doesn't think anything of it. Thinks that Noah was just going to turn up. And of course, like hindsight's always twenty twenty, you don't ever think that your best friend is going to like go missing and then end up being found dead. That's just not a normal thought that a normal teenager would typically have. So that morning, Jack had texted his dad and they were going to be going to the lake to go fishing. And then shortly after that is when Jack's dad, Caleb got a call and it was his son telling him that Noah had passed away. And then Caleb Newton said he got to the crime scene and they were of course doing their investigation. He says he did not pick up anything from the crime scene. He did not pick up any of Noah's teeth and do anything with those. They were there, They were labeled and marked, and he left them alone and he would never have picked something like that up. And there's also rumors that Jack's dad, Caleb, was also at the party. These are rumors that are apparently not true because he was apparently at a cookout which was about an hour away. So he says he was never at the party. There are rumors that he was at the party. I do not know what is true, but Caleb did say that he stayed at the scene for hours until it was cleared up and processed, and then he went back to the party house because he wanted to get Jack's ATV. And he said he went to inspect it and there wasn't any signs of damage to it. It was very dusty and it looked like maybe it had been in like a minor accident, but there wasn't really any scratches or anything on it. Some of the other moms of some of the other party guests had at that point in time gone to the house to kind of clean things up, but they said that they were just cleaning up like the party stuff. They weren't trying to hide anything or clean up any evidence of anything that might have happened there. All of the parents said like they really didn't know what to do, but they knew that they had to do something to try to keep busy and keep their mind off of what was going on. And they weren't trying to hide anything. They were just trying to help their kids kind of clean up and keep their mind off of what horrifically had happened to Noah. And Caleb said that he had removed some guns from the home and took them to his house and then he later got them back to their owners, because I guess there was a bunch of guns just at this house that people had brought in. So many locals do believe that Noah was beaten to death, and they don't know what happened, why it happened, and then he ended up being dumped you off the highway, and of course, like the last people that saw him alive were his friends at the party, so that's kind of who it's going to come back to, but they insist that none of them would ever have hurt Noah. And I don't want to play Devil's advocate here, but I kind of have to because that was their friend, So I don't think that they necessarily would hurt Noah either. Jack told some of his friends that he was torn between Noah being hit in the back of the head by a passing truck's mirror and then falling or being pushed out of a pickup truck. And then there's also this other group of friends that were called the Texas Boys, and they were friends of friends. They weren't like, really well known by the core group of people that were at the party, and Jack said, I'm fifty to fifty between a semi and the Texas Boys. Maybe Noah asked them for a ride or something, but even if something happened with them, it was accidental. But man, I can't just see kids accidentally killing someone and not calling for help. Medical experts have dismissed the truck mirror theory because Noah's injuries were much more extensive and it does seem almost like he was be to death. And I honestly do feel really bad for Jack Newton because it does seem like I don't feel like Jack is hiding anything. I know the circumstances of Noah's death are super suspicious. He was last on that property, but Jack was his best friend. I just don't feel like he in my gut, I don't feel like he knows anything more than what he is saying. And I think it's sad because these kids lost they lost a friend, but they also are being blamed for his death. And we don't really know what happened. We do not know what happened that night. There are so many unexplained things, and they were all heavily, heavily intoxicated. We really don't know what happened. We don't know all the people that were at the party either. Somebody nefarius could have been there and done something to Noah. We don't know. So that is the story of Noah Presgrove. Unfortunately, we have way, way, way more questions than we have answers. But I do feel like this one hopefully has the potential to be solved. It's just so interesting to me how something like this can happen and nobody really knows anything. I feel like somebody does know something and they're just not coming forward. But I just I really honestly don't know. I don't feel like any of the partygoers who were close with Noah did anything to him on purpose. Did something accidentally happen. I guess it's entirely possible. All the circumstances of that night, to me are just so bizarre and I really don't know what to think about it. But that is Noah's story, of course, it is an active, open investigation. I am going to link Noah's Facebook page group that his family has started for him as well, and I'm going to post all the pictures. This one has a ton and I will continue to keep you guys updated on this one, and if there are any more developments, I will be sure to bring them to you.
