Let's talk right now in true crime, and then together we are going to work on warming up some cold cases. Let's go. Hey, guys, welcome to another episode of Primetime Crime. It's Kylie. We are not going to do right now in true crime for this episode, because this is going to be a bit of a bonus episode. I had said that I was going to be talking about the Quiet on Set, four part docuseries that they did on Nickelodeon, and that is what we're going to be talking about. I have so many thoughts, so let me kind of give you my background a little bit on Like obviously, I grew up watching Nickelodeon, as did most people in my age range. I was very in to like all that and Keenan and Kel and the Amanda Show. Like Amanda Vines was one of my favorites of my generation. She was so uber talented and her comedic timing was impeccable. She I just can't say enough about Amanda. I'm like probably one of her like biggest fans love Amanda Benes. And I didn't really watch a whole lot of like Victorious or I Carly, but like I knew of them, like I would every so often see episodes Drake and Josh, Like, I've seen episodes of it, but I wasn't like I was a little older at that point, so I wasn't like super into those shows, but I've of course watched them. I will say I did watch Zoe wan on one. I was really big into Zoe wan Oh one, and I thought it was a good show. I really liked Jamielyn Spears, I liked all the other people on the show, and I thought it was a pretty good show. So that's kind of my relationship with Nickelodeon. Of course, back in the day, Nickelodeon was everything. That's where we watched all of our shows when we were kids, and little did we know that so much sinister, shady things were going on behind the scenes on the sets of these shows. So I think I first became privy to how bad of a person allegedly Dan Schneider was maybe in like I don't know, twenty seventeen. It's been a hot minute. And of course, once all the allegations came out against Brian Peck, like, that's a whole thing. We're going to talk about that in a little bit. But I have been waiting for this documentary literally for a long long time. There have been, of course, a lot of Internet rumors over the years. There was a Twitter account that allegedly belonged to Amanda Bynes. She has come out and said that it was not her, but this Twitter account basically had come out at some point in time. This was actually, I want to say in twenty seventeen, maybe a little before. So this Twitter account was under the name Ashley Banks, which this person said they were Amanda Bines, and they said a lot of different things. And one of the reasons that people think that it's legit is because they had tweeted a tweet and it said it is me authentic, often imitated, but never duplicated. I refuse to be silenced. My friends know how to reach me, xoxo. And it's literally a picture of Amanda bynds driver's license from California. So that is why people think that this is a legit account. Again, this is before like AI and all of the ways to modify photos and stuff whatever. A lot of people think that this is her, and there's a lot of things that this person, whoever this is, tweeted. One of the things they had posted was my parents are the ones tweeting on at Amanda bynes deleting this account. Please pray for my freedom and chance to have control over my finances. Now, we do know that Amanda had a lot of issues and back and forth with her parents over like she wanted to be emancipated and her finances, and we're going to get into all of that and the Dan Schneider of it all in a little bit. But they also posted two different things. The jig is up. They used me and my talent only to have me committed and steal millions. Have you ever had to beg for your own money? Make millions since the ripe age of seven like a show dog, only for the state to steal your bones. And we have this one. He always had men in his trailer men. I walked in on him and another male massaur and was nearly fired. He's sick. And there's other tweets about like John Travolta, and we all know he is allegedly not the best human on earth. So this tracks like these tweets pretty much track regardless of if Amanda is typing them round or not. These tweets pretty much track the last thing that this account tweeted, which is so disturbing, just ahead of the game. This whole episode is talking about sexual assault of children. It is very sensitive to talk about and to listen to. So if that kind of stuff really bothers you, please don't listen. It is hard enough for me to record this episode, but I feel like I have to record this episode because I've been talking about this stuff for such a long time. So one of the tweets said, can you imagine having an abortion at their team because your boss impregnated you committed because your father touched you, And then another tweet said, I've been forced to deny this account to prevent them from having me committed against my will again. Okay, so all alleged, of course, like there is no confirmation that these tweets did in fact come from Amanda under this pseudo Alia Ashley Banks. But when you look at Amanda's trajectory and kind of where she is now, it would make complete and total sense if she did go through some trauma when she was younger. Dan Schneider was front and center for a lot of Amanda's career. He is responsible for bringing her in and having her on all that. And there's just so many different things. So let's just start at the beginning. So Dan Schneider started his career. He was on a show called Head of the Class, and he eventually ended up becoming a producer. He was a showrunner. He was like the main person in Nickelodeon in the late nineties early two thousand. It's like he was the guy, and he was like the golden boy of Nickelodeon. I mean, his list of things he's worked on, it's numerous. All that Keenan and Kel, The Amanda Show, Drake and Josh Zobe wan On One, I Carle Victorious, Samakat, Henry Danger, Game Shakers, The Adventures of Kid Danger, Good Burger, and Big Fat Liar. This is like the bulk of my childhood right here, right. So Dan starts working at Nickelodeon. All that becomes a show and season one they have, you know, a certain cast of characters. One of the people that was hired was a gal named Katrina Johnson. She was the youngest cast member, and a lot of people would say that on Dan shows, he always had favorites, and Katrina happened to be his favorite. And she said she was even offered a show of her own and it was going to be called the Katrina Johnson Show, which if you've been around you know that. Eventually Amanda Bynes got her own show. So as Katrina started getting a little older, she through a period of time when she had gained a little weight, and they were sure to make a comment to her about her gaining weight. And she is a literal child. At this point, you're getting a little bit too chubby. You need to lose some weight. And then basically what happened, Katrina just started aging, she was growing up, and eventually she ended up being phased out. Amanda Bindes was brought in, and of course Amanda is younger, easier to manipulate, which I think is a big part of it. And if you think that that isn't true, that is true. Abusers and manipulators are going to go after people who are younger because they are easier to manipulate. It's fact Amanda basically comes in. She ends up being the star of the show. Everyone loves Amanda, and rightfully so, because she is super super talented for being so young, she's super talented, and she has eventually given her own show, The Amanda Show, and Dan very much takes her under his wing. Members. From all that said, there were times that they didn't even know where Amanda was, and like when they were hanging out together as a crew and a cast and she was off with Dan Schneider, like, it is not appropriate for a grown man to be hanging out with a child, regardless of their gender or their age, unless that is like your family member or something like that. It is not appropriate for you to be hanging out one on one with that child. So, of course Amanda started growing up and she kind of wanted to get away from the Nickelodeon of it all, understandably, so she wanted to kind of pave her own path in the entertainment industry. So Dan Schneider wrote a show for her called What I Like About You. Still to this day, it's one of my all time favorite shows, and it makes me want to cry that Dan Schneider is responsible for it. Because I don't like this man. And again, Amanda is growing up in the midst of all of this, so as she's doing what I like about you, he is getting closer and closer to Amanda. Again, he is responsible at this point for her whole career, at least that's the way that he is portraying. Amanda's responsible for her career at the end of the day, but he is, you know, very much inserting himself into her life more and more and more, and basically started to drive a wedge between Amanda and her parents. And Amanda had expressed that she wanted to, you know, have control of her own money and be able to work more, and that led to Dan encouraging her to become emancipated from her parents so that way she could work more and she could have more control of her own money and all of the different things that she wanted to do with her career. And that very much drove a huge wedge between Amanda and her parents. And it is not appropriate, in my opinion, for a grown man to be coming between a child. She's still a child at this point, she's sixteen, and her parents. It is not right. There's a lot more that went into it all, but there is definitely something very inappropriate about that whole relationship, and if that were happening outside of Hollywood, we would all think that that was very abnormal and it's not something that a grown adult man should be doing. So that's kind of the Amanda of it all. They eventually cut ties and he no longer had anything to do with her career. Eventually there was another person on What I Like About You that kind of took over, and they eventually Dan and Amanda parted ways, thank god, but the damage was done in my opinion. So in all of that, we also have Dan Schneider as a boss, not just to the kids that are on set that he works with, but the people that are working for him, the writers, the other people that are on the set, the other adults that are on the set. So on this documentary, they talked to two different female writers that wrote on the Amanda Show, so they worked for Dan Schneider and they were both hired on under the understanding that they were going to have to split a salary, which already alarm bells are going off in my mind that these two women were forced to share a salary. They were forced to split this salary, while the male writers on the show and on the set were able to have their own salary. Dan Schneider allegedly was also very inappropriate with them. He would ask them for massages, and this is on the clock while they're at work, ask them for massages, and he would show them pornography. He would have like pornography on his computer so they could see it. These two writers were counted that working for Dan was like being in an abusive relationship, and they always felt very much like if they disagreed with him or went against him, that they wouldn't get their sketches and all put into the show, or that they even felt like they could potentially be fired. And they said he very much acted like it was a joke and be laughing, like when he was joking around about stuff, but he was dead serious. And that creates a very toxic environment, especially when you are one of very few adult women on a set. That is kind of I think what Dan wanted to create. He wanted to create kind of like the locker room kind of vibes where oh, it's just a bunch of guys joking around, so he could hide behind that, but at the end of the day, Dan Schneider allegedly, in my opinion, is a predator, and he perpetrated a lot of this horrible behavior on the set, and it turns into what we're going to find out here soon is a big damn deal. That's why they're doing this documentary because children were hurt in the filming of these shows. And I don't think that Drake Bell is the only victim in my opinion, So I think there's going to be a lot more that's going to come out about this. But when you set up an environment like that and it's toxic from the get go, there's no telling what different little bouts of toxicity are going to leak into that environment because you are creating it and you're allowing for that to continue. One of the writers also said that there was a time that Dan Schneider had asked one of the female writers to act out being sodomized while telling a story about high school. And he pressured her into doing this and was basically like, if you do this, I'll put your your sketch in the show. Oh And she ended up doing it, but holy moly, like she was so embarrassed by this. Obviously, when they asked her about it on the documentary, she was like, I really don't want to talk about that. Awful so very unprofessional, very inappropriate, created a toxic work environment, and one of them learned that she wasn't really supposed to be splitting her salary with the other one and that's against the Writer's Guild of America rules. And she confronted Dan about this, and he basically threatened her, if you complain about this, you're never going to work for Nickelodeon or Viacom again. And it's really sad in these situations because you obviously look at it from you know, hindsight. You look at it from the outside looking in, and you think, well, I wouldn't want to work for Nickelodeon or Viacom, so we're just going to go through with this. But when you're a human struggling to find jobs, and that's your job, like, that's your livelihood, so you are going to overlook some things sometimes because you don't really know any better. I think things are so much different now than they were in the two thousands, So of course you're looking at it and you're thinking, oh my god, I would not put up with that. But you never really know what you're willing to do or go through until you're actually in the trenches going through it. And of course these ladies now have really seen what a toxic work environment it was and how horrible it was, and that's why they're speaking out. But there's one thing to be said for Dan Schneider. He was not the greatest person to work for. So now we're going to get into some of the kids that worked for him, because there are some you know, they're now adults, but kids that worked for him on all that and the Amanda Show that speak out on this documentary and kind of talk about their experience. So we have a number of different kids that have come forward, and a lot of them speak about all of the skits and sketches that they were made to do. They all, if you go watch them now, they all have like immense sexual undertones, like some really really creepy things, things that just it's not like when you're watching it as a kid, you don't really realize, but as an adult you're like, oh my god, that's sick and disgusting that they were doing this. One of the kids said that, you know, there were multiple occurrences where he was made to be in like skin tight leotards and when you're a growing child, that's really awkward and it's honestly not really appropriate. There was another actor, Brian Hearn. He was on some of the later seasons of All That, and he was the only blackmail actor that whole time that he was on All That, and he said he remembers this one time that he was being cast as a girl scout cookie dealer and it was basically like mimicking like a drug dealing scenario. And there was also another time that he was put into a again a skin tight leotard suit thing for one of his sketches and they basically said, oh, your skinned, your skin tone is charcoal, And of course it upset him like he's, first of all, the only black child on the show and someone is making a comment about his skin tone being charcoal, Like that's just rude and inappropriate, totally inappropriate. They also talked about how they would be made to work long hours, which again is illegal, and they had a few different sketches that were kind of based after Fear Factor, and they were made to do these things that were a little kind of weird and just inappropriate and not right, and Brian hearn his mom was ever present on set. She was always there, and she is one that was very vocal about all of the different things that were going on, things that she didn't feel right about, and she would express those all the time. And because she was so outspoken and ever present and always there, they ended up firing Brian and it ended up the way Brian talks about it now, it very much divided him and his mother. I think they have an okay relationship now. But when you're young like that and you have a job on a show and then you're let go, I'm sure back then he very much probably looked at his mom and blamed her for getting him fired. But let's talk about it, like, the only reason that Brian was let go is because his mom was on to the bad things that were happening on the set and she was calling it out. Abusers and manipulators, they don't want people that are going to call them out on their bullshit. They want to get rid of those people because they interfere with what they're doing and they are going to find a way to relinquish the control back over having these people around, So firing Brian was basically firing him to get rid of his mom, so she didn't expose what was going on on these sets. And it's really sad and unfortunate that that happened. But we need more people like Brian's mom to be present and speak out even to this day, especially in Hollywood. There is so much horrific stuff that still to this day goes on in Hollywood and no one wants to talk about it. So let's move on to the set of the Amanda Show. So there was a girl who was cast as an extra on The Amanda Show. Her name is Brandy. Parents were not allowed on this set as their children were basically just like ushered around by this guy who was a production assistant. His name was Jason Handy, and he was a younger guy. He was like in his twenties and seemed like a nice, normal guy. So Brandy and him, you know, they have a working relationship. Brandy as a child, as is pretty much everyone we're talking about here. So Jason began an email correspondence with Brandy, and at one point in time, Jason had sent Brandy a nigked photo of himself when he was masturbating in the photo, and she was really upset, and her mom really didn't know what to do, and she didn't want to be looked at as like a bad person for like allowing this person to have access to her daughter, so she didn't call the police, which alarm bells first of all, like, I don't care how you look. This is a predator. And if he's doing it to Brandy, he's not just doing it to Brandy, He's doing it to multiple other children. So not calling the cops and reporting this behavior the second it happened is a big fail. Now, I don't ever want to judge someone for the decisions that they make because in her mind, I think she thought she was protecting her child, but that is not what happened. That is not what she was doing at the end of the day, because a lot of other kids were affected because this wasn't cut off from the very beginning. So in two thousand and three, after a tip came in, law enforcement rated Jason Handy's home and they found an enormous trove of child pornography, including over ten thousand images of children. He also had zip block bags with different tokens of his relationationships with children in them. One of them had a pair of seven year old girls underwear in it, like WTF. So with this, the investigators went and they talked to Brandy and her mother about what kind of relationship he had with Brandy because they thought that this potentially could have been something because he had a zip block bag with Brandy's name on it. So there was different testimony that accused Brian that accused Jason Handy of engaging in sexual activity with a minor, and he eventually was sentenced to two felony counts and one misdemeanor, which is just not enough for me. Jason needs to be in jail for the rest of his life. So about four months after Jason is arrested, Brian Peck, who we are going to talk about in depth here in a minute, was also arrested on eleven charges of child sexual abuse related to a child actor. We are going to talk about all of that in a little while. So who is Brian pack. Brian Peck was an actor who turned into a dialogue coach. He was pickle Boy on All That, and he had worked on numerous shows. He worked on Growing Pains. He was very close with Leonardo DiCaprio and Kirk Cameron. He ended up working on the Amanda Show. He worked on all that, Like, he was very prevalent in all of these different shows. So he also worked on Boy Mats World. We'll talk about that in a little while. Okay, So Brian Peck is working on the Amanda Show. Drake Bell is hired for the Amanda Show. And at the beginning of Drake's career, pretty much his whole career, his father was a very prevalent person in his life and was his manager and was always there. So Drake's father was interviewed for this documentary and absolutely completely breaks my heart. He is, you know, basically telling the story about how his son got you know, to these shows eventually and how he was doing so well in his career. And Brian Peck is a very prevalent person on set, and Drake's father said that he would notice that he was just very like handsy and touchy feely with Drake, and it just made his dad really really uncomfortable and he did not like Brian to be around his son. Obviously, that was his job, so they really didn't have a choice there. But Drake's dad was very sure that he was always around and never wanted Drake to be alone with Brian Peck. And because Brian Peck is an abuser, he he definitely made his way into Drake's life and very much wanted to isolate Drake from those around him who were, in Brian's opinion, causing him trouble. So there was a point in time that Drake's dad had brought up to people on set that he did not like the way that Brian was acting towards Drake, and the people on set were basically like, well, you know, Brian's gay, so kind of alluding like if you say anything about the way Brian acts, you're just being homophobic, which is not the case whatsoever. So again, he was kind of forced to kind of let this go, but in his mind he never let it go. So slowly but surely, Brian Peck starts to drive a wedge between Drake Bell and his father, leading to Drake eventually saying he doesn't want his father to be his manager anymore, and Brian also kind of infiltrated with Drake's mom. Now, Drake's mom and dad were divorced and they had a pretty it sounds like they didn't have like the best relationship, so Brian was able to manipulate Drake's mom into also thinking that Drake's dad is not the best person to be looking after his career. So ultimately what happens is Drake is influenced to make the decision to no longer have his dad as his manager. Therefore he's no longer going to be around to get in the way of Brian and Drake. Now, all of this was done with Brian's influence. Of course, like Drake did not make any of these decisions on his own, he was manipulated into thinking that this would be a good move for him. So when all of this first happened, Drake's dad said, you know, it made him really upset, but he wanted to support his son. So he supported his son. But he told his ex wife never ever ever let Drake be alone with Brian Peck, so it ends up happening. Of course, Drake is living with his mother in Orange County. A lot of the auditions and stuff are in Hollywood, so Brian Peck was really close to Hollywood in La So Drake ends up spending the night at Brian Peck's home time and time and time and time again, and very quickly abuse starts to happen. Now, Drake was young at this time. He was I want to say, fourteen fifteen years old. This is before Drake and Josh became a show, So before Drake even shot the pilot of Drake and Josh, this whole thing was kind of brewing and the abuse was getting ready to happen. And that was the biggest thing that blew my mind is that this didn't happen when Drake was in like the peak of his life where he was the star of the show, this hit show like Drake and Josh was a huge show. This'll happened before that. So I think Brian struck when he knew that he was able to strike before like Drake was super successful, because it's almost like, I'm gonna use you and manipulate you while you still really need me because you have not found the success yet on your own. And that is what abusers do. They are going to target you at your weakest and most vulnerable, especially when you're a child, and take advantage of you. And that's exactly what happened in this scenario. So Drake is spending the night at Brian's house. He's sleeping on the couch and he wakes up to Brian Peck sexually assaulting him, because Brian Peck is a horrible human and of course, after the first time it happened, Brian is very apologetic and basically saying like, it'll never happen again. I don't know what got into me, YadA YadA YadA, making excuses being a typical abuser, and it ends up happening again and again. So the abuse continued over a whole six month period, and Drake Bell just basically said he felt like he was trapped, he had no way out, and he said that the abuse was very extensive and pretty brutal. And when they kind of asked for him, like can you go into a little more detail, like whatever you feel comfortable with, he basically said, why don't you think of the worst stuff that someone can do to somebody as a sexual assault, And that'll answer your question. Drake Bell was fifteen years old. This is a predator that we are talking about. Brian Peck not even allegedly is a predator. So Drake started spending a lot of time at his then girlfriend's house and there was one particular day that Drake was over his girlfriend's house and the girlfriend's mom started to kind of question Drake on some things because Brian pack had called Drake like a billion and a half times on his cell phone, and the girlfriend's mom was like, look, that's not normal. What is going on? Like something is up? What is going on? She knew, and that, I think is something that is so important to kind of realize when an adult is calling your child and it's excessive, that is not normal behavior. There is never a time in life when you, as an adult, put yourself in a position to have that type of relationship with a child where you are obsessively calling them like day after day after day, call after call after call. That is not normal behavior. And it's really important as an adult to recognize that that is not appropriate. And that's exactly what happened here. Drake's girlfriend's mom recognized something was wrong, asked Drake about it, and ended up taking Drake to therapy, where Drake then would say everything that had been happening, and Brian Peck was continually after Drake to cast him, to get Dan Schneider to cast him as the father on Drake and Josh, and eventually Drake confess what had been happening, and then in two thousand and three, Brian Peck was arrested, and up until very recent we all knew about Josh being arrested, but the person that was in the claim because he was underage, was known as a John Doe, so we didn't know that this was Drake Bell up until very recent. So in this Drake had to recount every detail of the abuse that had been happening to him. He also was able to get a confession from Brian Peck via a tapped phone line. And despite all of this, he never really received any therapy or any kind of help following all of this abuse. And oddly enough, Drake does say that through all of this, Dan Schneider was the one person that he actually remembers being there for him. Which I'm not going to discount what Drake is saying because he went through something so traumatizing, but Dan Schneider literally being there to pick up the pieces just seems to me like there's ulterior motives there, but that is just my opinion. I just don't trust you, Dan Schneider. I don't I'm not going to There's nothing that anyone can say or do to make me think that he is a trustworthy human. But that is Drake's experience. We are going to respect it and we are going to move along. So all of this is going on in the mess, All of these allegations coming out are going on in the mist of the height of Drake Bell's career. So Drake remembers going to court to testify against Brian Peck and members. Brian Peck's side of the courtroom was full of notable figures in the industry, and there was a lot of them who wrote letters in support of him. And I'm going to name some of these people who wrote the letters. James Marsden, Alan Thyck, Ron Melendez, right or Strong Wilford Dell, and all of these people asked for leniency for Brian Pack. And a lot of the letters use very victim blaming language because that is the way that Brian Peck put it to them, like I got into this, you know, relationship with this minor, but he initiated it, like Brian Peck very much twisted things around. So they of course wrote these letters to support and they were in the courtroom to support Brian Pack. So Brian Peck pleaded no contest to two charges of child sexual abuse. He was sentenced to sixteen months in prison, and he was ordered to register as a sex offender. But despite all of that, he did end up working on a Disney series, The Sweet Life of Zach and Cody. Now Disney has come forward and the people that worked on The Sweet Life said he was hired, but he was hired as a voiceover actor, and he was never on set with children, which you can argue all day long if that's true or not. I don't know if I don't believe anything that any rich corporation tells me, because I feel like they always have ulterior motives, and I question everyone and everything that are associated with those kind of things like Disney and Nickelodeon. But regardless, he was still hired for a children's TV show. This man should never work in the industry again, as far as I'm concerned. And now we're going to talk about like I said, Brian Peck worked on Boymates World, so he was very close to right or strong Wilferdell, the male children that were on this show. So I think I want to say Will Frudell was maybe nineteen years old when he met Brian Peck, so he was not underage, but he was still young and right or Strong was a little bit younger at the time as well. So it's really interesting because they both wrote letters of like to be character witnesses, basically saying Brian Peck is a great person and he would never do this. So they did come forward and they said that the way that Brian explained it to them is that you know, he is a gay man, and this younger guy came on to him and he just gave into his impulses and that's what happened. He said, basically, that Drake came on to him. Is what Brian is saying to these people that end up writing these letters for a character witness to try to get the judge to go easier on them. Now, I don't know, I've never ever ever been in this situation. But if a grown ass man or a grown ass woman tells me that they entered into a sexual relationship with a child but it was the child's fault, it doesn't matter. Like Chris Hansen talks about it all the time on his podcast, Like if you were under the age of consent, meaning you're thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen. In some states, you are not able to give consent, so regardless of if you are initiating it or not, you legally cannot give consent. So it's still bad and wrong. If a forty year old, forty one year old man tells you that a child enticed them, how does that become okay and okay for you to write a letter to defend that person. Any way you look at it, it's wrong. And I can't imagine looking at it from that standpoint and being okay with writing a letter to protect a sex offender and somebody who molested a fifteen year old boy. I just I will never understand that. I know Will and Writer came out and they talked on their podcast episode about this because they felt that they were also manipulated, and I can kind of see that. But also, there is never a time in life when it is okay to ever protect somebody who did acts like this on a young child, somebody that was not of the age of consent. It is taking advantage. And it is astounding to me that so many of the notable people that wrote letters defending Brian Peck a lot of this and did blame the victim and that is alarming to me that you have a forty one year old man and a fourteen fifteen year old boy, and you're going to side with the forty one year old man because he said that Drake came on to him. WTF, Like, this is what's wrong with Hollywood. Corey Feldman has been telling us for decades that this stuff happened to him and Corey Ham and nobody wants to believe him because he's quote unquote crazy. Why do you think he's crazy? Because he was molested as a child and he tried to be a whistleblower and nobody believes him still to this day, I think the amount of people that believe Corey Feldman are very, very small. And that is exactly the kind of environment that predators want and that predators thrive off of. They want people to believe them. They are master manipulators and they are able to kind of skew things to their liking, and so people will follow them blindly and just go along with it. If any single person I know in my life right now was charged with lude acts with a child, I'm not going to defend them like I don't care who they are. I'm not going to defend them. And it's just amazing that I feel like Hollywood has just like this undercurrent of predators that just kind of like function in amongst themselves and nobody talks about it. But I am so glad that this Nickelodeon documentary came out people are finally talking about it. Dan Schneider, of course, has denied all of these accusations. He said he didn't have any control over the salaries that he was, you know, splitting the salaries amongst these two female writers. He had no control over that, which I call bullshit on. He also has said that he you know, maybe was a little inappropriate read at times, and he shouldn't have ever asked for massages, and he apologizes for that. He knows that it was wrong. He denies that any of the sketches that he ever did had like sexual undertones and they were all approved by the network. Again, I don't believe that for a second. And he also so in this interview, he gets this guy from I think it's I Carlely to interview him, and essentially it's like somebody that is like his friend and one of his supporters. So obviously the interview is very much going to be skewed in a positive light for Dan Schneider. But I don't believe anything Dan Schneider says. Brian Peck has not publicly spoken out about anything that was talked about, but I am very proud of Drake Bell. Now, there has been accusations against Drake Bell in the most recent years because he allegedly had contact with a minor. Now, I have also heard reports that this person that came forward and said I had these conversations with Drake. I've heard rumors that this person was paid to come out and make comments, basically to affect the credibility of Drake, because again, everyone wants to have control of the narrative, and if Drake looks like a predator himself, people are going to be less likely to believe that he was also preyed upon. It's a six cycle. I don't understand it. I think Drake is incredibly brave to come forward and speak his truth and talk about what happened. You could see the pain that he felt and how uncomfortable he was talking about it. But more people have to talk about this in order for it to change, especially when it comes to children and children on TV. There is just so much going on behind the scenes that we have no idea about and that needs to change, and there needs to be more security on set and better background checks done to prevent predators from being around these kids. It is horrific and horrible. So those are all of my thoughts on this Nickelodeon documentary. There is so much more to it. It was four parts, four hours of just horrific things. If you guys haven't watched it, I highly recommend you go and watch it. It was on the ID channel. I think it's streaming on Max as well, so definitely go check it out.
