Hey, guys, welcome to Primetime Crime. It's Kylie coming your way today because Ruby Frankie had a hearing today. She is the mom who was accused of abusing her children. She had a YouTube channel that was pretty popular once upon a time, and she and her friend kind of conspired together and they were abusing her children and it is a really, really sad situation. One of them was able to escape and get help and now she is in prison. So today they had her hearing because she has agreed to testify against her friend, Jody Hildebrant. So she is from Utah, and she pled guilty to four second degree felony accounts of aggravated child abuse. And like I said, she has agreed to testify against her friend, Jody Hildebrandt, and they in turn dropped two of the additional child abuse charges because she agreed to that. So she said in this hearing that she understood the terms of the agreement, and when they asked her how she pled, she said, with my deepest regret and sorrow for my children. Guilty. So we're going to talk about some of the details of what transpired in these abuse claims and allegations. Trigger warning it is not okay. It is not good. And then I'm going to give you my thoughts, which you can probably already kind of gather, because this woman is actual trash and I hope she never ever sees the light a day again. So, when this child was first found, he had said, I don't know if it was the boy or the girl, because it's a son in the dog. Ten and twelve, they said that Jody had put ropes on their ankles and wrists, and that both of them, Jody and Ruby, had used cayenne, pepper and honey to dress their wounds that they had and when police did the search, they found handcuffs, rope, duct tape, all of the things. So Ruby's lawyer said that Jody took advantage of Ruby's quest for improvement and twisted it into something heinous, basically putting all of the blame on Jody. However, Ruby is taking some responsibility for her actions in this, So we're going to talk about the actual crimes that took place again, trigger warning, child abuse, torture, not okay. So she forced her children to do physical, manual, hard labor for hours and days at a time, including wall sits, carrying boxes, full of books up and down the stairs outside labor in the summer heat of Utah without shoes on, and the kids got really bad sunburns to where their skin was just like coming off and it was blistered. And they wouldn't allow the kids to drink water and then would punish them if they tried to secretly get a hold of some water. They were denied sufficient food, and when they gave them food, it was just very plain meals like chicken and rice, while everyone else in the home got to eat regular and more flavorful meals. The sun did try to run away once and he was caught and his hands and feet were bound regularly. So these bindings included using two set of handcuffs, one on the victim's wrists and one on their ankles. At times with the victim lying on their stomach, ropes were used to tie the two sets of handcuffs together so that their arms and legs were lifted off the ground. The bindings resulted in injuries that permanently damage the victim's muscles. The injuries were treated by ruby with alternative medicine and covered with duct tape before binding the victim again. So these kind of binding, handcuffs and all were put on so tightly that it was causing wounds and they would just shove duct tape on it and then do it all over again, like WTF, what is wrong with you? Specific instances of abuse committed by the defendant include kicking the victim while wearing boots, holding their head underwater, and cutting off oxygen by placing her hand over the victim's mouth and nose. Another one of the child abuse claims caused emotional harm to the victim that begin in May. All of this begin in May of twenty twenty three. The defendant and another adult regularly sought to indoctrinate the victim and convince them that they were evil and possessed, and that the punishments were necessary to repent. Everything was doing and being done to them were acts of love. Who does that sound like Lori Valla? Maybe question mark? According to the plea agreement, Ruby admitted to two additional child abuse claims directed at another one of her children, including forced labor without shoes and emotional harm. The two drop child abuse charges involved alleged abuse towards both of Ruby's children. Court documents do not detail what alleged abuse occurs beside the alleged physical injuries inflicted on them by Ruby. What a holy piece of shit she is. And Jody is right there up with, right there with her. I don't care who you are if you are in a situation where you're going to somebody this Jody Hildebrant was her friend, apparently her friend, and I guess Jody was trying to help her, maybe like with some disciplinary things, to try to improve some of her children's behavior. The second somebody else starts abusing your kids, you need to get the f out of there. You don't add to it and make it worse. Like you have to take some accountability for your actions. If someone is messing with your kid, you need to speak up. I do not understand this. So given the fact that she is testifying against Jody, I do feel like she could potentially get a less lesser sentence. It's going to be really interesting to see what all develops with this, because they drop two of the charges already, so that's already less that she's going to court on. She has another court date on February twentieth at ten am. There isn't a trial because she pled guilty, but I don't know what she could potentially get, like what the maximum is that she could receive. But the sentencing is going to be February twentieth, so I will definitely keep you guys updated on that. But there was a lot of information that had come out in regards to her husband because they were not living together at the time, and everyone was questioning, well, was he involved? Did he know about it? From what I'm seeing, I don't feel like he knew what was going on. But the way that it sounds like Jody and Ruby were manipulating everyone around them, it sounds like he easily could have been kind of brushed to the side and wasn't informed of what was going on. I don't know if she was keeping the kids away from him, I don't know how much he knew was going on. Still, if you are seeing your kids and you're not realizing that they're being abused, that's that's a problem. That's a situation. But I really don't know. I don't think Ruby should ever see the light of day again. She's a horrible person somehow or another. She had a very successful YouTube channel once upon a time, and she was a blogger and she was like a mom and supermom, and she had all these kids and everyone looked to her for parenting advice. Like, this is the worst person to go to for parenting advice, even when you watch the videos from back then, which all of them for the most part do not exist, but there are a few that are still kind of out there on the internet. I can't understand how anyone ever could sit there and watch this lady. She was borderline abusive to her kids back then, and then it just kind of progressed into what it became, and then this Jodie Gal got involved and it got even worse. It is insanity to me, and the fact that you think that your children are evil and that they have to have the stuff done to them for them to get better, Like you obviously need to look in the mirror long and hard at who you are because you're doing these horrible things to a ten and twelve year old children, like your ten and twelve year old children? WTF is wrong with you? Like? What is wrong with you? I just do not understand this one. I was gonna wait and review all of this on right now in True Crime, but I was like heated once I heard about it, and I just couldn't wait. I wanted to go ahead and do a little review of all of the things and talk about her pleading guilty. And it really makes you wonder if the kids hadn't escaped, how much longer would this have gone on for and would it have resulted in her killing one of her children in like a Lori Valle situation, because it just kind of looks like it was headed in that direction. And this Jodie girl, she's no better. She is in the exact same boat. They were on their way to becoming the next Lourian Chad. And then we have another set of people as well that we're going to be doing the same thing with their family when they kidnapped their son and they were on their way to freaking Alaska or something. I don't even know. They were on their way somewhere with them. And those are people who also were kind of following in the footsteps of Luri and Chad. Like I don't understand how stuff like this happens time and time and time again, it happens, and it's happening right in front of our noses. I don't understand. So that is the update on Ruby Frankie. If you guys are interested, Google Ruby Frankie eight Passengers. That was the name of her YouTube channel. It's deleted now, but like I said, there's still remnants of it out there. Can see some of the videos because people that are now coming forward and saying I used to watch those videos and I thought it was extremely disturbing that this woman was getting on there and saying the things she was saying about how she disciplines her kids and stuff, and now it's turned into full fledged child abuse, Like we don't know what was going on behind closed doors. This is very much in my opinion, at least in regards to a family being portrayed one way on social media in the public eye, and then behind closed doors is a whole other can of worms. Is the duggers exactly the same type of scenario. It's creepy, it's weird. I don't like it one bet. Always trust your gut. If you feel like something is off with someone, you're probably not wrong.
