Welcome to Summer Series twenty twenty five. The Roden Family Murders, also known as the Pike County Massacre. We're going to be discussing the murders of Dana Roden, Christopher Roden Senior, Kenneth Roden, Gary Roden, Frankie Rodin, Hannah Hazel Gilly, Hannah Rodin, and Christopher Roden Junior. Let's go ahead and dive right into Summer Series twenty twenty five. Welcome to Summer Series, Part ten. We are still in the throes of getting through all of the wire taps, and there's a lot. There is so much back and forth so far with these wire taps. We've heard from Jake and beth Ann. They've had a conversation. We've heard Jake and Angela Wagner have a conversation. We've heard George and Jake have a conversation, although it was mostly just them screaming at each other. And now we're going to hear a conversation that George had with his mom, Angela Wagner from Jake's phone. So he was using Jake's phone to make this phone call and I am going to play that now. Well, then you get. Home we're gonna have a fad a meeting about what about all of that? They're gonna do crap and what's. Not a Hey, this character everyone knows that. Okay, do you know what? Listen to me? Listen all the time. They don't listen to me. One Okay, we're gonna do on one it. Hey, what we're. Gonna do on what? In no sense? Now when you get home, you get ready. To the door and they bought back. Hello, I know the only I got down. Okay, Okay, that one was so interesting. I think it is so interesting how George is acting in these calls. He is enraged, he is paranoid, he is flipping out. Angela is the calm one in this call, which is so interesting. I do not even understand this dynamic. Now, you heard when it was the conversation between George and Jake. It was basically just them screaming at each other, but very much George b very heated and very passionate about everything and basically wouldn't let Jake get a word an edge wise, it's just such a very interesting dynamic between the different members of this family and how they're all kind of navigating their quote unquote new norm because they know that they're being looked at, they know that they're being watched. Of course, not to the extent that they were because they actually were recording their phone conversations. But he is so paranoid about everything, and it's really coming out in these calls. Okay, this next call is. From George to Angela and the topic of conversation is about law enforcement. So to me, this one is very interesting. I am going to start playing it now. That's what they're doing. And they think quiver call and I like, okay, well. To death sense you think that that's one of them another scaractic it could be. I'm telling you they're going to expect us to do is retaliate and blow up to the freaking who and all of the world wide and everything that they get he legaled off and bring up the backs of. The whole world. I will run. The whole world doesn't know circuit grad being guided and they freaking investigated themselves. Being perfect and paid off the. Ball off of the drunk line. And yeah, the whole world that I'm not the whole world. Notice that there's about dirty room here. Yes, they know that you're blowing up the fox. Use the reader and the why and. Why and all involved in it and their names at the top of the list or thirty and if you know everything they give you up the border and what they threatenate Sophie watching what they get the target. The children never did it, and you blow all that up. And lets them see the world. Let the whole world see what they did and how they really are. They be a devastating blow to them. They won't recover from it. I think I think we need to talk of that hand and then thinking. With the people in Washington. I don't mean that Joe John to do that. They will trumple and they will break. They pay it off. The stakes to Bobby Die have to take to head off the face. Yeah, I know that joint. I know, I know that is begin game. So the prosecution bringing this call in very much paints a picture of George Wagner, of somebody that was very involved, very very involved in all of this, wasn't afraid of backing down, also didn't know his calls were being recorded. But them playing this and showing this just really shows how complicit George Wagner is in the whole thing, how involved he is in the whole thing in my opinion. Next, we have four picture messages that come through, and these are coming through on June third of twenty eighteen from George to Angela Wagner, and they are photos of Beth Ann's journal entries, journal entries that she has hand writ in herself. He is going through her things and taking pictures and then sending them to Angela Wagner. Again, he is involving himself in things that simply do not involve him. And if anything, it shows that he is willing to put himself in situations and put himself in things that really don't necessarily involve him, I e. The eight homicides of the Rodent family and Hannah Hazel Gilly. The next phone call is on June sixth of twenty eighteen. It is a call from George Wagner to Angela Wagner. And in this phone call they talk about Tabitha. So let's go. And one of those. Figure the other one I have here. Okay, okay, well we're putting together. Take that. Do what if I allowed a couple of days. You gotta make sure it's gonna they said, make him. I'm allowed to say if I'm not allowed to kick anyone off, that's. I don't know, George, Honey, kay if I was allowed to do that. And I told you what he said and I couldn't. It just says. He didn't really say a whole lot. He just so he said, was this, Okay, she's. Not paid anything, no support, no, not gave a die for him since. Okay, right, because for the last year she has. Not contacted him perstantly, And he wanted to know the last time that she's seen him in person. And I told him, I said, He said, I. I think I can't remember that was and I said, and I said, he said bye. So that said I was like where we met, And I said, the rest of the times he's got that hat off. The doors just all stitched him, play with him. He could keep ring a picture for him to have, you know, here's a picture of you know, mommy and all. Of that stuff. But when you're gone or anything. I fid said, he can I know, And that's what I thought. Even he said, Well, he said either or cold or after they're all right, because. They want more from ont to say for the hotel, corn and everything. Yeah, do it, man, I. Told you, I'm going to You know, the renal girl was either already born or one's ready to be born. And here's what he said. She can tast anything that. She wants to do, anything you do, as far as I cust my god, she can test the court. But when the dux sees what he has not done, and he's. Not going to give her and he he's not going to get any more right than what he had. What he can't The only thing that he can say, do that you can now. Look, I wouldn't get to go effort. I would tell her, hey, look you've not put an effort. You've not get this, this and this, You've not done this. I offered to pay. You didn't agree because you your husband. So from here on out, if I want and you comes in, I'll think you're out. That's fun. You want me. That you've done that stuff. Ruful guy, guy, you've done that before, and I do it no more. Not being a good life. Feeling's older. If you care, that's. Yeah, that that's what I would do. I think it's so entertaining how these two truly think that they have it all figured out. When it comes to all of these different women that they have issues with, Well, they've already killed Hannah, so they don't really have to worry about her. But they do have to worry about Tabitha because she is the mother of Bulvine, George's son. And then they have beth Ann, who is at this point in time still married to Jake. So those two right now are their biggest targets. And honestly, this is just my opinion. I think if they hadn't been arrested, that something more would have happened to the two of them. And I hate to even go there with it, but I truly don't think that these are normal people that we're working with. George made an interesting. Comment earlier when he said, you have to cut the head of the snake off, and that is so very telling when it comes to the Wagner family, and in my opinion, the head of the snake is Angela Wagner. She is pulling the strings through all of this. At least that's how things are very much being laid out and presented through these wire taps. I have learned so much about Angela Wagner and her role in things and how she manipulates those around her. She manipulates her kids, and she manipulates them against each other, against the women in their lives. It is so so interesting. I don't know how many. Times I've said that, but the family dynamic here really really needs to be studied. So the next phone call is between Jake Wagner and Angela Wagner and George Wagner is kind of interjecting at points in the background, and they are basically talking about Beth Anne. So we are going to play that one now. Pet You're right, and we got to figure out something because I'm left, we're running on borrow time. I have that feeling that we are absolutely, you know, running on borrow cood. That man is going anion pact. I don't know why, but he is notively. On ovingiine that I got to make sure everything is okay, and then we can't have anybody that is trying to ruin that. We can oh one O, they tell me n We'll make sure that she will make sure that think. They're still mined Davy and that Pops they don't. Then my then dog, I won't up there, you know, walk at John did you win it. She don't know well paper, yes. I know your the guce do that. And she's not gonna what the weapon y'all women, Well they know that's possibility. Take But Raydon Burger when he told me about that's basically a prenupt is what that is. And Raven Burger when got was getting married, Raven told me they really don't hold up. The measure in California or somewhere. And you've got an attorney that you're paying a couple of hundred thousand dollars too. Now the other thing you can. Do, okay, something you can do, and John mentioned it, we can hire a private investigator. Private investigator can find out everything in a short period of time and tell us every single thing of devastation about her. I don't know that. I have a phone number. I can make someone call Monday morning and tell you, I mean, no offense. Take as quick as you jumped into that and stuff. It probably wouldn't hurt you to know some background. You know what. I don't want to make humans. That's the thing I don't want to do. I mean, we're already got the world now as I don't want you, I mean I want you faith, so you can do whatever for your boat. Ok what I do about jobs and whether you need you have, whether you need in short, I die or my face dogs, you know what you want? Well, I. Have faith in God. Okay, I do. I know God is he can have faith. I don't have faith in humankind because that their free will, their free will, you know, get them. I mean. You said so yourself, Jacob that night, that she come up with. Quick answers so fast that after what we've been through, it's just burst out on line because the answers are too quick and too perfect. No, you said that God now not too perfect? Just two quips what I do the same thing, and he shut out that your mother. I do that all the time. And now I'm just pure everything. So I'm not liar. You know, before we die, I wasn't liar, I under said when I done job, they said it look like I was lying. So I think out looks like like, Okay, have you ever caught her in a lie? It kept to the one that one you had, you caught her into the windy night or whatever that thing was. I can haven't call her in anymore so, non single one. On No, So when you asked her about that paperwork that night because she read that one, and she instantly tell you she did it. She said, have you ever written your ring down about the guy or uhh or what I'm saying this guy or something like that, and she said nothing, I never read anything that all about you. You haven't played herself with guy. And she said, no, I've never read anything about this guy. Even though I feel okay, So you're saying that you did not write a letter write down and so she was going to her mom and doing something. She did do something like that, and she said, I never wrote. Guy saying about this guy. Uh, I could have doount something. I was angry, but it wasn't about these guys. It was just changing her with you said that. Getfore she was turning. Out about angry and something kind I felt, okay, Say did you have a letter that will I said, uh, something like that he was. Angry with Paul and that you was going to uh say something and get her put you know, well they printed putch squat And she said, no, not write nothing like that. I did write something that it would be horrible that I could. And I, however, severity, don't question okay, okay, all right, well anyway, that doesn't yet it doesn't. They told them that, great Mark, it doesn't say that I got right, yeah, good bot get the let's be back here. I have the power to this, this and this it now. But it would not be true exactly. What's Yeah, yeah, it does say that. It does. It is just it does. Okay, it's just okay, listen, look but he well, I'll here with me. I think I'm time page. I think it could be just an honest mistake. It could be an honest person who is really had a roughly and it's honestly trying to sit in that everything. Is is a monk. And you'll have to fight them retards off every single day. I'm not doing that. Well, I'm saying, I'm saying, nor what you do that, I'll take my life. They won't. He's gonna he's gonna run the weekend. It's only gonna he runs the weekends when he come home. Wait all week. You have your he all we ahead, Uh be happy anyway, gay, Look, I oh, I don't want you to I don't want you to say anything. Okay, I work. I'm telling him to do what you want. I didn't need to help you when you get home. I don't want to help self and because I don't want the idiot to hear every single thing I say. Okay, so that was very telling if you ask me. It seems like at this point they do have some suspicions that they are being listened to. But it's interesting when they talk about being framed because these heinous people very much committed this EPE person homicide and there's no framing to be had. And Angela says something about how she'll take the death penalty over sitting in prison every day. Well, that didn't age well because she is sitting in prison every day, not on death row, not taking the death penalty, sitting in prison every single day for her role in this. So that's an interesting little tidbit hearing that now after the fact, because this is my first time to listening to these wiretaps from beginning to end. I'd heard little bits and pieces of them throughout the trial when it was all going on, but hearing them all from beginning to end has really been a very interesting experience. For me too. Okay, So our next call takes place between George and Angela Wagner, and we are going to play that now. Okay, Yeah, there's now, Okay, I love you, do you want some kind so look at that one thing him. I don't know because she's home to take me j the same to use with the same opinion on thing gat you single, No, not exactly. There's also not the same situation either. She can't asking much other questions. He didn't want talk about the type of stuff from Tom, and. He talked to her, probably got home and stuff on Tom. Something. Well, I'm at the morning and she had a horrible that we need that under the. Jump yard, saying that that they didn't meet her because he had me and that she doesn't need me. I said him a good man, and she said, well he might not be. I know. She said he might not need you for sex. He could get a whore because that. But he said he needs you for everything else. I said, only doesn't. I'm really talk old books, I really do of leaving. The other morning, she talked about it. She did, She literally talked about leaving. She said that because she said that Sophie tore up the wedding photo and that the staving for an hour, that she didn't want Beth around and she did. That's nisus nole. One of the ladies. I asked her. Missus Ole didn't tell her. Even Pianna didn't tell her that it was going to be difficulty and a mom to tell me about Sophie. She told me that missus Nolan, the other women that she trusted up there, told her this is like that worked, that it was going to be easy because of the fact that Sofy was over three, her mother was already dead, so something would just laughs on the her forget about her mother. And it would be a meat to take. And I didn't thank him. Somebody could live a healthy little life, so whenever they want, wherever they want them. And I know that's not going to happen. That's what she's only. Because because he's gonna have to work. That has come because he can't go up there. And the data they told her to move this way to gravel if he had to get a bucket. He wanted her out here and meet her and the kitch to move this. Gravel right, moms throwing my yard after she. Wrote grand he's mom's throwing the grass. I'm living the. Gravel with a thread. And she comes out and wants to know if I want her. To pan oh by the boys up in the house. I said no, you don't have to. She said, what can I go the liver? I said, well, that's I'm working on the gravel. For himself and him and if. She's winging out, they come and she's trying to and she she's trying to bring me for it all. But she's trying to know that's a much other words, I love you, I want the point and I don't want to during the day. I'm sorry so because the they are because all witness rowdy. Yeah, okay, I want to witness. Your fighting all the time. Okay, what mother mo ble? Yeah, I want. Coming Okay, yeah, well that's amazing. Because the situation we're in. I'm sorry, I don't want Okay, that's fine, that's fine. Okay, look, let me say that. What else did she what out did she say? I always know she took good body say, I. Know she's gonna she's got a leak in George and she's gone like that anyway. I read that. I read that letter you she's not left her because she's got the money she's got so far. He gives her a tr that that's what she set that all. I'm gone, Yeah, I know he shouldn't do that. I'm telling you he shouldn't, and he was listening to him. I'm telling him he saidn't. And if something else that he he doesn't know. If something happened and he I come on there and he gets arrested, yeah, don'thing will hit nothing. No, she'll leave with it. I know that. Sometimes I love this. Let me get. The witness that sis at all times, daylight hours, you know, began to do that real and find. Me where your home? Mom? I'd like to leave you all. Okay, God can God? You got to wag its tried sometimes Okay, suck it. Yeah, that was like, okay, I don't I got it. Yep. That whole conversation is so interesting and if you don't see all the pieces kind of floating together as Angela being the puppet master behind the scenes, I don't even have words. This stuff is truly so insane, and it's really interesting to me that Jake so quickly moved on and did marry Beth Anne because he brought another woman into this tangled web of insanity that is the Wagner family and involved her in all of this and then gaslighting her into thinking everything is her fault. And it's just such an interesting dynamic. I don't know how many times I have to say that, but this whole family dynamic that the Wagners have going on is so interesting. And listening also to these wire taps from start to finish, you really start to see George's roll in things, because he's not just an innocent bystander by any means. He is deep in the trenches in all of this and feeding into Angela and her craziness, and it's just so interesting. And I don't know if you could also hear George's son Bulvine in the background. Angela is with him, because Angela is his surrogate mother apparently and is always with this child and Sophia, and Bulvine has injured himself and he's like crying, and she's way too busy on this phone call to even try and tend to him. So if this doesn't give you a glimpse into the Wagner family dynamic, I don't even have words. So the next audio recording was from inside of the truck, and it is a recording of George basically just yelling about Beth and god knows what else. It is really really hard to understand at some parts, but I am going to play it, and I apologize in advance that this man has no self control and just yells conversations instead of talks like a normal adult. But we are going to get into that now. So this is George Wagner going off on a tangent as always. Yeah, that was a little bit much, but I wanted to play it because I wanted you to hear what a crazy, lunatic George Wagner can be, allegedly in my opinion. All right, Next up, we have a call from Jake to Bethan's phone, but Angela Wagner was using Bethan's phone at the time, so it's him and Angela talking about Tabitha. Again. These people have no concept of like moving on with their lives and they need to stop rehashing the past. This phone call took place on June eighteenth of twenty eighteen, so we're going to get into that now. Hello, Hey, I want. Way wait wait, she's get asking something for me. Okay, all right, okay, I think, like all those climbing nine percent should that Tabby is using her old Facebook page under Tabby Breach once she had when him and her were together. Yeah, and I think she's got to her old tricks again. I think she's got you know, a bunch of guys, you know, running and stuff, you know, how shoes. But anyway, I'm. Pretty sure she's choosing that page. So ask him if he remembers what the thing is for that page? Right, Okay, yes, and I don't care what kind of movie you have him? Call me? Okay, all right, are you going? Okay? Yeah, okay, Well we don't have how Gravel Move today? Okay, okay, le, So she's calling Jay, well, Jake called her. I don't even know. I think she called Jake from Beth's phone to ask him to ask George for the password for Tabitha's old Facebook account because she is somehow convinced that Tabitha is quote unquote up to her old tricks whatever that means, and wants to get access to her Facebook account. It doesn't matter at this point. These people are gone from your life. You've already isolated them and ruined them, ruined their reputation, made life extremely difficult on them. What are you doing? What are you doing? These people drive me nuts? Okay. The last call for this episode, because my head hurts, is going to be a call from Billy Wagner's phone to George Wagner. But of course, because Billy Wagner is the head honcho behind this, he gave his phone to a Angela Wagner to you. So we're going to hear another conversation between Angela Wagner and George Wagner. And if you didn't pick up the sarcasm, that was my sarcasm. Oh okay, what did you mean? I want to. I want to sell. I live alone. I don't know what Chris bog is uh or anything like that, but I set up with mom, and Mom said that it was. A black guy, and I think the James of a doubt that they said they came to us off and then they said. The picture of an ass. Myself, a picture. A picture of felt they're gonna put the bad the gun or Don said, Don said, Lon said the picture with Jake Coley the gun jack hand supposedly holding the gun had. The tilings on it. So long, said but Lon saught. Mom said that it looked like he didn't she hadn't never even seen us as below. But the same you know, said they came out there just to park and said that they were ready to lock things down, but if my aph on whom they were ready to lock stuff down on and Mom said, he didn't know that christ was out there if they wanted to cough And. He told him that we hadn't a tony because I got to the lead and. She said yeah, all said, well you're. Having attorney Lock said don't with this property in fine that I seld you could get off all the way at all. Second and I love Christ. Off and look, I want to thank sure, I want to know if one of those pictures had a picture of Jake hands on the gun with the. Or you want. That Yeah, all right, okay. So that is the conversation that took place after there were photos that were sent allegedly of Jake holding a gun and Jake holding a gun with a silencer on it, and they were starting to kind of realize that there was something going on. Now. The reason that they sent these photos law enforcement sent these photos to George and I think to Angela's mom because they wanted. Them to talk about this stuff. And this is the whole reason that they wanted them to talk is because they were being courted and they wanted to know what they were going to say, they're kind of essentially creating conversations for them to have because other than all that's gone on with these eight homicides, they have a lot of other family drama as well. But them talking about all of that other family drama it is important to the investigation, of course, because it shows their characters in my opinion, but them sending pictures like that and then having them start talking about it on these calls is so important to this case, and it really shows that they do have something to hide. So we are going to call that good. For episode ten, we are chugging through these wire tabs. I am really trying to be thorough and let you hear them because I do think hearing the context of them is so important. And I swear I'll have Angela Wagner's high pitched let me tell you something in my ear for the rest of time, because I've just heard it way too much.
